August

Hey, everyone! I know it has been a while that I’ve blogged! Caught up in the book launch preparations, travelling and just making the most of 2017! More info to come soon!

I just want to take this opportunity to thank those that attended the book launch on Saturday 22nd July 2017. It was my second book launch that I had! Pictures are up on my Facebook and Instagram! I am very grateful so far at how this year is going. We only have 4 months left to go! How are you going to spend yours?

In the meantime, I want to give a heads up to those that may not have been able to attend but would like to purchase a copy of the book. You can as it is on Amazon right now. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Completion-Perspective-Brokenness-Esther-Jacob/dp/1547280433/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502034805&sr=8-1&keywords=completion+by+esther+jacob

I remember saying at the launch that it is okay not to have everything together, believe me when I say this. In today’s society, there is a slight tendency to look at our lives and want what others have, not understanding the underlying factors that came with the blessing. I know it is easy to look at what others have and desire it but it is crucial to appreciate what you already have and use it to its highest potential.

Yes, 2017 has had its struggles but that is what makes life meaningful. Do not ever write yourself off thinking that nothing will ever be possible. I have surely seen God’s authentic hand upon my life, even when I did not strive hard enough. It is important to keep your life in the preparation and the ‘expectation’ stage. When you expect much, you will receive much, when you expect little you will receive little.

How do you want this remaining year to end for you? Will it be the same as how it started? As for me, I believe that it will be different and influential towards others. Everyone has the right to succeed in their endeavours, but we must put in the hard work now. One key lesson I have also taken from this year so far is that nothing you have worked hard for will be wasted, and what is for you shall be for YOU! There are many distractions that will try to get the best of you, but learn to lay them down. It is easier said than done but the joy and freedom you get by being real with God about how you feel is not to be taken for granted.

Slow down and pray more. Think less and rest more. Do not compromise who you are for temporary satisfaction. Let God complete you in all that you do and remember that being broken is God’s way of showing His strength. Just to give a few nuggets from the book:

  • Know your worth
  • Never compromise who you are for anybody
  • Know that it is okay to be broken as long as you don’t give excuses
  • Don’t settle for less than you deserve
  • Wait patiently on God and He will answer you
  • Don’t leave God out of the equation
  • Let Him be your focus 100%!!
  • RESPECT YOURSELF!
  • Love your flaws
  • Cry if you need to…it cleanses mind
  • Above all PRAY AND NEVER STOP!

My Mind Has A Life

mind-life

We all have our individual lives to live; nobody can take our place. We make decisions, we wake up to attend work, go to the gym, eat, drink, rest, sleep etc. Your life is very precious, so do not take it for granted. Your mind contributes to the success or detriment of your life. How consistently positive is your mind today? The more you use your mind, it is feeding your life in the way you desire it to go.

When you strive to be positive at all times, life also will be positive back to you. The same applies to being good to people, people will also be good to you. You will see the fruit of your labour by doing good. Your life is centered on your mind because they both work hand in hand. It is vital to consider your thoughts, and ensure they are meaningful. Life itself won’t always be fair, I can surely guarantee that. But despite it all, there is something unique you learn about your circumstances. I can honestly that if I did not go through what I went through in my previous years, I would not be the woman I am today.

Thanks to my Father, I can confidently say I am in a much better place than I was back then. My thoughts are becoming like His thoughts, the Peace that He gives me is greater than the storm that tries to overwhelm me. I basically just don’t take any notice of distractions, neither do I try to entertain them anymore. My mind is solely focused on His Presence, and being positive at all times. Before, I could only seek God in bad times, but even when things are going well, I still endeavour to make an effort with Him, because He truly deserves my time.

Who are you giving all your time to? Is that person feeding you positively? Are you gaining anything from them? It is so important that you do not base your life on people and what they say to you. It is good to get good counsel from people, but remember that not everyone has the right to speak into your life. Words itself are so powerful that when it is uttered, it cannot be taken back. Our words shape our character, therefore, our character shapes our lives. When last did you assess your character? Any issues? Be honest with yourself, it will help you.

The human mind wanders on so much, that until we learn how to discipline what we think about, it will overwhelm us and make us complacent. When the storms rise, and people fade away, set your mind on the God who is stable now and forevermore. The fact that God knows your life more than anyone else gives us a very GOOD REASON as to why we must endeavour to keep our mind eyes on Him. He knows our end from our beginning. But just to remind you, that God does not show us everything about our life at a time; it happens in stages. I remember this time 3 years ago, I did not have the vision to write a book and now I am an Author of my latest book ‘It’s Time to Heal’. I am saying that my mindset had changed because I couldn’t keep up with the constant rejection of looking for jobs, and depending on people to help me, so I had to use what I already owned to turn it around for my good. Today, I receive so much positive feedback regarding the book, and I can only thank God for it.

Was it easy? No, it wasn’t but I had to keep feeding my mind with positivity. You will never get where you want to be until you change the way you think. Your mindset is as strong as super glue. Once you use superglue to mend a broken object, you will see how FAST the glue penetrates on it. That is the say way our minds should operate. Our minds should be quick to be positive and fruitful. What kind of fruit are we showing other people? This is another area that we all, including myself, must work on. How do people see the good in us so that they can glorify the Father in Heaven for our lives? We want good people around us right? But are we doing the right things such as serving people, praying for people, giving people a helping hand, supporting people etc? It is very easy to want to be on a pulpit to speak, but what are your motives? What is your mind saying? Do you want people to see you, or see God IN YOU? There is a difference between the two.

Our minds are sensitively critical and we must always learn how to think positively. The best way to do this is to study the Word of God. In your quiet time, take every opportunity to study the Word based on the mind. You will see that a lot of people in the Bible had worrying issues such as Peter who was scared to walk on water for a while (Matthew 14:22-33) or the Rich man who was so reluctant to give his riches away (Mark 10:17-31). This is what most of us are going through today in our generation. We are afraid of certain things, and I am not saying that fear will automatically leave your life once you have finished reading this message, I am saying that when you change your mind around, you will see different results.

If Peter trusted Jesus at the time to walk towards Him on water, he would not have sunk; this also applies to the Rich Man. He was so rich that when Lazarus was poor, he didn’t give him anything. When Jesus said in order to inherit eternal life, the Rich Man should give his possessions away and give your money to the poor, the man’s face fell and went away sad, for he had many possessions. Why are you going to be afraid of giving not even up to 10% of what you have to people less fortunate than you? Because his greed was too much. This is what happens when you have too much of everything. Your mind eventually becomes stingy and hardened that you refuse to help people, for fear of not receiving it back. This should not be so. When God blesses us with finances and our hearts desires, that should be the opportunity where we learn how to give freely. As I stated earlier, people will know you by your fruits, and what you are carrying. Are you carrying positivity around, or a heavy heart?

Your mind has a life, so feed it well and do not go astray. When you are stuck at a crossroads, seek the One that will direct you back to Himself. He knows your life more than you. He knows your tomorrow; you don’t, so allow Him to take control.

Invest in Your Character

Character 1

Character is defined as strength of moral fiber. As the excellence of gold is its purity and the excellence of art is its beauty, so the excellence of man is his character. (A.W. Tozer). Our characters can be known through our honesty, our humility, our meekness, and even our ethics. Descriptions such as ‘women of integrity’ are assertions of character. A lack of character is moral deficiency and persons lacking character tends to behave dishonestly, unethically, and selfishly.

How is your inner being doing? Does it need a check up? I know we get so caught up in our appearances and find all the ways we can to get that ‘perfect look’, but the truth of the matter is that you are already beautiful the way you are. It is not your looks, your make-up, your fine clothing that defines who you are, but it is your character. How you see yourself is what others will see in you. What are you doing that is building up your character? How can you invest more in your heart than on the external? Remember not only to invest in the external, but grow in Spiritual strength and become better acquainted with the Lord Jesus (2 Peter 3:18). You can also invest in your character by investing in the Word more. More of the word builds your character; whatever you feed will grow, so be very careful what you set your eyes and mind on.

Your character is what will attract good people to you. A bad attitude is attractive to another bad attitude, but a humble individual would not want to be surrounded by someone who is proud. Our character is influenced and developed by our choices. The choices you make will define your character and how people perceive you as. If you are someone with a big heart that cares for others, you are more likely to attract good people to you. They will be so into you that you won’t even understand why they love you the way they do. I know a few ladies who are SO HIGHLY FAVORED and loved by many! These people are women of influence, women who understand what it feels to be broken and how to relate with them in a sensitive non-judgmental way. These are the people we desire to have around us.

It is the Lord’s purpose to develop a great character in us. The way He can do this is if we surrender OUR ALL TO HIM! Sometimes our problems places a barrier from having fellowship with God, so instead we try to fix everything in our own strength, to realise that nothing is working for our benefit. All our strength we work for is in vain but we have chosen to exalt ourselves assuming that everything we do are right choices. Great character comes from God because His character is great! He wants us to develop the attractiveness of doing good. When we do good, our character grows with us. On the other hand, God sometimes uses trials to strengthen our character. I am very convinced that we all have been through a lot this year. You would not be here today if not for God’s Grace. Our trials are another form of developing a Godly character.

Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the Glory that is to be revealed in us”This verse says that incomparable glory lies ahead; it’s glory beyond description, greater than anything you can compare it with on earth. Our sufferings hurt us, I know. It is impossible to stop hurt and pain from coming our way whether it be physical or emotional pain. There needs to be a balance in life when it comes to enjoyment and sorrow. It can be awful, almost unendurable. Its intensity can increase to such a degree that we scream with terror and pain. We think we can no longer endure. But the Apostle Paul is saying that the intensity of the suffering we experience is not even a drop in the bucket compared with the intensity of Glory that is coming our way. You can see that Paul is straining the language in trying to describe this fantastic thing that is about to happen, which he calls the Revelation of the Glory that is coming.

Paul is stressing that through the pain we go through, it will develop our character. You won’t know who you really are until you have been through hell. When everything isn’t going the way you planned, when family members don’t believe in your dreams, when friends emotionally use you, when all hope is gone, that is where the opportunity for God to bless you begins to flourish. You may not have a good start, but I promise you if you keep the Faith, you will have a good finish! I know some are still in the process of ifs, buts, and maybes, but none of that! When you really want a breakthrough, you will do all you can to get one. Nothing will stop you not even your emotions!

Let your character speak for itself. Our character is a powerful tool that can take you places. I find TD Jakes a strong role model in my life. Thanks to God, He has shaped this man into a powerful Bishop who desires to help people with understanding their purpose on earth and walking into their destiny. He is known all around the world for his tenacity and passion for Jesus Christ. I am certainly sure that a lot of people are blessed by his sermons, teachings, books and recent TV show (Type TD Jakes show on YouTube). These are the ingredients that have shaped who he is. People always ask me why do I love this man. It’s because of the way he conducts himself. He invests time in his character through helping people and wanting to see them grow. You follow people who you want to be like right?

Now what shapes you? Do you have a unique glow that when people see you they get excited? Or do you get the response of ‘oh shes back again, sigh’. Hmm it can be tough. Some try to be nice but it just does not work because they have not taken the time to invest in their character. You can’t cover up a bad look hunny. It’s either you hand it over to God or suffer the consequences. If you are currently surrounded with people that don’t like the way you are, this could be the opportunity to ask God why. It could be either two things: (1) they may not like the way people love you, or (2) you may have a bitter heart and not realise it. But the answer can only be revealed through God.

People will always have something to say about you, that is the life we live, but as long as you don’t allow it to get to you, you will be on top! Your situations will try to bring you down, but as long as you keep the Faith, everything else will follow. Could it be possible that your pain is a unique path to enhance your inner being? Do you think that your suffering is God punishing you? Hmmm, my sister it isn’t. The more suffering, the more blessing. The enemy always wants us to think that God does not love us and that is why the world is so corrupt. If God wanted to stop all the chaos that is happening in the world, He can do it because only He has the power to stop it. Some question why bad things happen to good people; yes it happens at times, but look what David said in Psalm 37:1-3: “(1) Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! (2) For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb (3) Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness”.

David emphasizes on the fact that we should not be concerned or worried about evildoers, because one day they will reap what they have sown. The unrighteous may be enjoying now, however it does not exempt the fact that God does not see these things, nor has He forgotten about you. What frustrates me at times is when I feel in my heart that people who have started after me are excelling and I just think ‘wow Lord fix it’. It seems so unreal, but God has told me not to worry, because nothing is hidden under the sun. Some will bribe just to be in higher positions, some will use you, drain you, and even attempt to kill you, but none of this matters simply because the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:4). When God orders your steps, you won’t even have to worry about what people plan against you. All you have to do is look up and say ‘God I trust you’. Even when you cannot find your way, He will be the light to your path (Psalms 119:105).

We must learn to work on our characters every day. It is not something that is done overnight. Even if we feel that nothing else needs to be worked on, I can guarantee that there are other areas in our lives where we can invest in. Maybe you have anger issues? Maybe you are finding it hard to forgive someone? Don’t wait for people to see the best in you before you see the best in yourself. Learn to fight your struggles off so the real you can come out. The race is not for the swift. It is a tough life out there, but with the right character, you will be able to conquer it all. You and I are not alone. God wants to develop in us a unique character that will draw others to Him through us. Jesus did not die that we should struggle with our inner-being. We are the righteousness of God in Christ, and in order to first identify who we are, we must realize who we truly are in Christ first. Learn to develop a character like Jesus, and I can assure you that regardless of the attacks and struggles, you will be an overcomer!

Your character says a lot about you, how you relate with others but most importantly, how you relate with God. Invest in God and in yourself! These are the two things that should be worked on daily. Open up your heart and surrender to God; every silent struggle, every envious or jealous thought, let go and let Him work on you. Your heart is so precious to God. All He wants to do is work on your heart. Are you willing to give it to Him? Remember you don’t have to do this on your own. Character is not a one person’s job. It takes prayer and a good support system around you. When you begin to draw near to God, your character will catch up with you.

WHATEVER IT TAKES FOR YOU TO BUILD YOURSELF UP, DO IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART. REGARDLESS OF THE PAINFUL MOMENTS, THE TEARS, THE CRITICS, YOUR CHARACTER IS WHAT WILL HELP YOU FACE CHALLENGES, MANAGE RISKS AND OVERCOME BARRIERS – TO GROW UP STRONG AND BE WISE!

Learn to invest in you and love the you that God is shaping you to be 🙂

Uncomfortable Environments

Uncomfortable 1

Do you feel like there is a sharp thorn inside of you? A deep feeling of pain, torment, stress, anxiety, depression? Paul experienced a sharp thorn in his side. What he was trying to explain was not that he had the physical thorn in his side, but types of troubles such as illness, depression, anxiety, loneliness; to name a few. But when we look at it from a spiritual perspective, we see that the thorn was a message from Satan. The feelings we feel at this present moment can either be good or bad; you decide to be happy or you can decide to be miserable, it is all down to you.

Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a wicked spirit sent by Satan to buffet him. Buffet means to strike repeatedly. God does not send wicked spirits against people in the Body of Christ for any reason. Read James 1:13. He sends the Holy Spirit and has given us His Word, which is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and for instruction in righteousness to discipline and guide us. When we face troubles, the first thing we should do is to seek God. Let God be your first point of contact. We are all surrounded in uncomfortable environments. It may be physical issues, financial issues, health issues, academic issues, mindset issues; all these things can be uncomfortable. But how do you handle pain that nobody can understand? How do you succeed when things are working against you?

In the Bible Job, one of the most humblest man of God was very wealthy. He had it all. Unexpectedly, he lost it all. He lost his children, his money, and his health. That is when he decided to pray. But can I ask you a question; do you just pray when problems arise, do you only speak to God when you are in need, or should your mind be on seeking God for who He is? If we were to lose everything and only seek God to retrieve our desires back, then really, you are not living for God’s purpose, but living for yourself. Job had to take himself out of the situation and fix his mind on God, because he knew that it was only for a season that he lost his possessions.

How would you feel if you lost everything? Would you get angry? Would you become resentful onto others? Job of course was upset, and I can totally relate. But he did not allow his feelings nor emotions get to him, for if it did, he would not have seen the Power of God in his life. Notice that he did not say “Oh how am I going to get my money back, or my health back, or my children back?”. No, he realised that when we stand with God in the midst of our uncomfortable environments, He will hear our cry. It is not about us, but it is ALL ABOUT HIM! We are servants of the Most High. We must be able to come to a conscience decision where we surrender our all to God and allow Him to have His way in our lives. Rather than Him serving us, let us serve Him.

When you are in right standing with God, everything else will fall in place! I say this with Faith because I know how it feels to lose some things. It can be painful to open up to people at times. People will judge you based on your outward appearance. They will perceive you as having a lot of possessions, but realistically, they do not know what you are going through behind closed doors. Your smile has covered up your pain, but only God knows the real pain you are going through. In this life, YOU LEARN WHEN YOU LOSE WHAT YOU LOVE; WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING LEFT BUT GOD YOU DISCOVER THAT GOD IS ENOUGH! And it is true. Until you experience painful situations, that is when you will experience God’s power in your life. You can’t be in a comfortable environment and expect everything to be 100% perfect. There will be problems, but His Grace is sufficient for all of us!!

The book of Job is mainly about him arguing with God and complaining about life. Have you ever been in a situation where you have felt tempted to argue or complain about life? Where you feel no peace? Where you feel your friendships/relationships falling apart? Where it feels like there is no hope? You are not alone! Lets be real, we have to be honest with God about how we feel. Although He already knows, it is vital to express these feelings to God regardless. Only He can change what you are feeling from within. No man, woman, career, or money can make you happy apart from God Himself. Remember God can handle your complaints, but as long as your eyes are on Him, He will teach you, correct you and guide you all the way through your uncomfortable environments.

But may I ask, what are you so uncomfortable of?:

1) Is it your job? The one you were thanking God for when the manager offered it to you?

2) Is it your partner? Remember you were on your knees asking God to grant you a husband…

3) Is it your academic studies? Despite the hard work and tight deadlines, you said you were not gonna give up regardless of how hard it may be…

4) Is it your child? Remember that time you were praying for God to grant you a child and that is what you received?

5) Is it just everything in life? Your relationship with God, your family and friends, your co-workers, society, peer pressure, money, stress??

We have all been there!! Some of us are going through terrible situations than others.Regardless of whatever difficult situation you are in, God is able to give you Peace! You just need to ask, for His Peace surpasses all human understanding! God does not give us peace as the world gives! The world’s peace is simply temporary, but God’s peace is eternal forever! Know the difference. The enemy will deceive you if you are not strong enough in the Lord. His plan is to kill, to steal and to destroy, but God said that He came to give us life in abundance (John 10:10). God as powerful as He is, the omnipresent God, understands where you are in life. Why not trust Him?

Sometimes we will face problems, but they are only for a season! God won’t put you in a situation where you cannot handle pain. Yes you may cry, yes you may fall out with loved ones, BUT HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU! Remember that your latter days WILL be greater than your former days! Don’t think about the God of yesterday, but dwell on the God of tomorrow and for the future! In other words, don’t just thank God for what He did in your past, thank God NOW for what He is going to do in your future! Yes God blessed you last week, but do you have enough FAITH to trust Him for your future blessings? What will it take you to put your all in God? Remember God will not invest in something that He can’t generate a greater return from. If you think your only going to speak to God on behalf of your problems, then some readjustments will have to be made. We can’t expect God to always answer our problems, and not thank Him for the things He has already done. Let us take away that “I” mentality. Remember without God, we are nothing!

So if you’re in an uncomfortable environment, and this could be situations at work, at home, at college/university, with friends and loved ones, keep trusting God and He will bring you through!! We must trust in His power and His strength. Your uncomfortable situations will become your testimony. Do not give up on God because He will not give up on you. God knows your current situation and will show up when you least expect it. Yes at times, God will not speak instantly, but you will definitely know it is Him speaking to you. When you can differentiate other voices from His voice, that is when you will experience better peace. You have to be strong in this life, you have to know who God really IS to you! But can I ask, what is He to you? Is He just a friend? Is He just a co-worker? Is He just your God on a Sunday morning, Is He just your God when all your problems are stressing you out?

There will be problems day after day, but in Matthew 6 it says that we should not worry about what the day will bring, for even tomorrow will have its troubles of its own. Acting in confidence and continuing to trust Him in your darkest moments is a sign that you are COMING OUT of your situation and you are walking in progress! It may be slow, but slow progress is better than NO PROGRESS! We all want to come out of our uncomfortable environments. But please do not expect it to be for a day, because it won’t. Problems can be ongoing, however the good thing is you have the power to control your problems by consulting your Father. When you feel alone, talk to someone. God puts people in our lives for a reason. At times, we will need encouragement from others. It is vital to our daily needs. Be encouraged today that your uncomfortable zones will be your greatest testimony. You can use what you are going through to be a blessing onto someone else.

Note: For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.

Don’t allow your circumstance to change your mood!

Uncomfortable

Why does life seem so unfair?

Unfair

Ladies, we need to be aware of the fact that Gods timing is PERFECT! Blessings can only be delayed, but they CANNOT be denied! Remember Habakkuk 2 verse 3: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, and it hastens to the end fulfillment; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, because it will surely come. It will not be behindhand on its appointed day”.

It must be a constant remind for you and I to believe that God has a plan and will fulfill in when He says so. We should not be waking up every blessed morning trying to plan our day and what we are going to be doing, without firstly having a conversation with God. It should be a priority to speak with God in the morning before anything else, because you are more likely to hear His voice relative to your own. One thing that I realised was not pleasing to God was putting Him second place. I used to always check my phone to see who had called or text me and would use all of my time on my phone, and wondered why God did not hear my prayers. Maybe it was because I was too focused on what ‘I’ wanted to do, that I blocked Him out. Ask yourself, what are you placing before God that you need to give it to Him?

I was speaking to a dear friend of mine and he was telling me that he needed encouragement. So with the help of God, I encouraged him by referring to certain scriptures that would uplift him. Sometimes in life, some people just need you to be there for them, sometime to cry to, someone to lean on. He had the interview, and the next day, he informed me that he did not get the job. I related to him very well, because it was a situation where I also poured out my heart to him and was able to explain my experience of the job search to him. It’s good to also speak to someone who has also been in a similar or the same situation as you, because usually, I find it quite difficult speaking with someone who doesn’t understand my pain. So I referred him to Habakkuk 2 v 3 (stated above) and reminded him that everything we desire will come at Gods appointed time! So if you know someone at the moment who feels like giving up, saying in their mind that life is unfair, or you sense someone you love wanting to commit suicide, please use this scripture to remind them not only of Gods love, but the timing that God has for everything to blossom will come in due season!

I believe that worrying is wasting energy on the things you can’t control. Leave everything in God’s hands. This less; pray more! If we always can remember to have this sort of mindset where, instead of worrying, we pray, we shall surely see better things in our lives. We will be more happy, more grateful, more thankful, and most importantly; to praise Him! We need to be reminded that sometimes, when life is falling apart and everything seems to be going wrong, WAIT FOR IT! God has a plan bigger and greater than you think! We can invite more peace in our lives by being PATIENT! Not by comparing or contrasting other people against who we are, or what they have and what we do not have. But really taking the initiative to allow God to have His way in our lives, to help us to believe that when some things fall apart, it is a sign that it will get better. God will make some situations in your life uncomfortable. You may have to come out of your comfort zone and do some things you would not expect, just for Gods Glory. You may not understand it now, but remind yourself of this; ‘WHEN YOU ARE IN AN EXAM, THE INVIGILATOR IS ALWAYS QUITE DURING THE TEST’. We can apply this context to God. When you are under pressure, just remember that God will be quiet, until the exam is over.

The thing with us Christians of nowadays is that God has never stopped being good; we have just stopped being grateful. This now brings me to my focus on ‘life being unfair’. Life has always been fair. It has always been fair when God gave you and I life, when He saw us through our day-to-day lives, when He provided us shelter, food and clothing, when He allowed us to brush our teeth and how our baths, and the list goes on. What makes life seem so unfair in our eyes is the way the world perceives life. So what if we are not earning £1,800 every month, does that mean that life is not fair? I always have this feeling in my mind that someone who earns less than £500 a month can be classified as wise, relative to those who earn more. Why? Because when you earn more money, you may be tempted to spend most of it on yourself. Not only that, you are more likely to demand more. But for those who do not earn even up to £500, you will be wise to know what to spend and not want to spend. You will humble yourself and thank God for the little you have because you knew how it felt to have nothing before.

Everyone’s eyes are perceived differently. So for someone, £1,800 may not be enough because you demand more or you feel that it is not satisfactory for you, but £300 will make someone else become content because it remind themselves of when they knew how it felt to be broke. This is why we should position our mindsets on things above and not beneath. Humble yourself or life will do it for you because slow progress IS PROGRESS! It may feel like nothing is happening, but God is working for the good of those who love Him! (Romans 8 v 28). If you are constantly struggling with life, ask God to help your unbelief and to increase your FAITH!

Do not let life define you by your downfalls, secret struggles, tears and sorrows, but be expectant that Gods plan for your life is for good and not of evil! (Jeremiah 29 verse 11). Your latter days will be greater than your former days! At least that is something to smile about 🙂

A quick prayer: Dear God, I keep becoming more and more bitter. My anger and frustrations keep building up inside of me. I know life is not always fair and everyone has trials and tribulations along the way, but I can’t find my way out of this jumbled mess…I need you to fill me with peace and soften my heart to make me whole again.
