Epilogue: The Worth of a Woman and Wife of Noble Character
Proverbs 31: 10-12
(10) A wife (woman) of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
(11) Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
(12) She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
The Women’s Worth Conference is a group is an online blog forum where different women come together to share common interests, desires, circumstances, and above all, to strengthen, invest and inspire the other woman next to her to know what worth is embedded within.
When I think about a Proverbs 31 woman, I visualise her as a self-confident and hardworking individual who has an effective work/life balance. She makes an impact in her society and brings out the best in others. She does not entertain anything beneath her worth and always desires to achieve more than she already has. She is humble, intelligent and kind. She is someone that is not moved by the many circumstances life has to offer. She is calm because she knows who her worth is in.
In modern day society, there are many distractions that a woman faces, from social media pressure, trying to fit in, not feeling good enough, or wanting to make an impact in a world that may not necessarily acknowledge her existence. However, she does not let any of these temporary afflictions swerve her focus. She is determined to move forward with her life because she knows what she carries within. She is a tenacious woman full of energy and vibrancy. She is willing and able to conquer any obstacle that comes her way. She uses what is already in her reach to make an impact. She is not alone because she is comforted.
I want to ask you today – What kind of woman are you? What definition and legacy are you leaving right now that you want people to remember you for? When you take the time to invest in your strengths and flaws, you will begin to blossom into the woman you have been called to be. This is a reminder of who you are: a woman of WORTH. Remember this always: your worth is not on sale.
WOMAN…you are great. You are beautiful. You are hardworking. You are strong. You are not like any other woman. That is your unique selling point. That is your power. You can multitask. You can create. You are wise. You are a WOMAN!
Dedicated to all the hardworking women who don’t take no for an answer! Keep working hard – your reward is coming!
Do you know why you are here? Sis, I understand what you are going through. I know the tears you cry; when fear cripples you and makes you feel something is missing. When the world is telling you to rush for success quickly, particularly before age 30. That is the age where everything must be complete; a house, your husband, your first or second child, a beautiful family car, a successful business. No matter what you want to achieve, do not allow the standards of the world to take over.
You are more than what the world and society labels you as. Sis, you are doing your best, but can I tell you one thing. You will fail. You will fail if you keep doing it all by yourself. You will be frustrated trying to fix everyone’s perception of you. You will be annoyed when others compare their progress with yours. Why? Because there is a tendency to allow what other people portray to trigger your self-esteem.
I know how it feels to work so hard and not see results come to fruition. I know. You had the perfect plan, but it just did not seem to work. I know the feeling of making an attempt to balance everything, to the extent where you lose sleep and feel anxious about tomorrow when you are still living in your today. Do you know how much that can make a woman feel? Let alone not loving who she is called to be.
Struggling with low self-esteem and having the ‘MIA’ time not only causes isolation but frustration. Do not keep yourself away from people. When your girls are celebrating their successes, you must understand that you are also a part of their success. Jealousy and envy should not be part of it. Are you hearing me? Jealousy and envy should not be part of it. You may have all your girls around, but it doesn’t mean you know what they are going through.
We smile through social media and post the fun parts of our lives, but behind close doors we scream and shout for help, fear of parents and loved ones criticising us for where we are. Feeling helpless and lacking purpose. Tired and weak and just on the brink of giving up. My sister, please do not give up. Do not look at life as if it has failed you. Life may have it’s ups and downs, but guess who will keep your life in perfect peace? JESUS ❤ <– that is your answer to all your questions about life.
To understand purpose, you can find it in my book Completion
