DON’T GET COMFORTABLE | SHIFT YOUR MIND; SHIFT YOUR LIFE!

Don’t get comfortable; SHIFT IT!

In these perilous times, it’s easy to adopt a mindset of fear and anxiety, but I want to challenge you that seasons don’t last; that is why they are called seasons.

Your mind can either take you further, or keep you complement, but whatever you do, don’t look back – quote by Esther N J.

No matter how difficult it may seem right now, your best days are ahead of you. Be intentional and disciplined to shift your mindset.

You still have to keep going!

It doesn’t matter how you feel. You have been chosen to make it. Regardless of what is or isn’t happening in your life right now. You must be intentional and persistent. Add a bit of patience to it aswell. Don’t forfeit the journey, because you don’t know where your ultimate breakthrough will come from. You may not get the notice you crave for right now; but at the appointed time, those who can take you and your destiny further will come looking for you. You only need to be still and trust the One that knows you by name.

It’s easy to fidget in a world that is unreliable, unstable and constantly changing. Why blend in when you can set a trend to stand out? Don’t feed how you feel for temporary satisfaction. I strongly guarantee that it won’t last, and will cause you to start again from ground level zero. Be optimistic about your current situation, and use what you have to make the change. Don’t assume being elsewhere or desiring every need will make you more excited about life. Your life is already exciting because you are alive and well.

You have purpose, and for this reason…you still have to keep going. In the good, bad and ugly seasons. It never stops. No one in life is going to have it 100% easy. Even if you assume some people do. We are all in the same boat; the only thing is – some know how to handle their pain well, and others may still need a bit more work. It is okay; you still have to keep going. Regardless of how you feel. Yes, cry, let it all out, but keep going, because you don’t know the impact you make in the life of another person. Keep being intentional about where you desire to be, and allow it to naturally fall in place. Be kind to yourself and don’t force it to be at the top. The higher you get, the more people study you – stay focused in your own lane.

More importantly; keep pushing because greatness is birthed in uncomfortable environments. You can do MORE with your life if you discipline yourself well.

IN THIS SEASON…

Image result for seasons

I know it is not always easy to admit this, but, each of us have different circumstances, obstacles, worries, fears, anxieties and constant battles that feel like they are never-ending. Do you realise when you switch your mind from a negative thought into a positive thought, what controlled you doesn’t have that much power anymore? Let’s take a look at the following examples:

“How do you handle rejection?” I handle rejection by embracing it. I do not allow it to define me; perhaps it is either because I was aiming too low and can create something better (which is usually the case), or I am not yet ready for the position and need further training and support. Either way, the choice is yours. How you see your season right now is solely up to you. No one can tell you the type of season you are in. You can choose to heal from this season or allow it to affect your mindset.

Remember, seasons change, and each NO will lead to ONE YES! Believe me, I am a strong believer on this. Throughout the countless unexpected results, I have benefited greatly from turning these around for my good, and I really encourage you to do the same. Ladies, you are precious, worthy and very valuable. You are here for a reason and a purpose. You may not know your purpose right now, but do not hide your gifts; whether they are polished or not, they will enable you to get to the next level.

“I don’t feel I am good enough, everyone is doing what I am doing and it looks so easy for them”: The reason why you keep feeling sorry for yourself is because you are focused on what other people ‘show you’. Someone may look happy on social media, but it doesn’t always mean you know how they are truly living. Be careful how you define yourself in this season. Don’t write yourself off because of what people show you or what they advertise on social media. Sometimes, it is a way to numb the pain and feel good, but feeling good for REAL, is when you are able to admit that you have a problem and choose to solve it, not worry about it.

Every day we are on a journey, and as we continue on this journey, our seasons will change. You have to learn how to keep it moving, despite the long wait, despite the rejection, despite feeling isolated. There is so much in you that is waiting to be birthed out. You will be surprised if only you allow yourself to be free.

“I am so hard on myself” – indeed, ladies, we need to stop overworking and sleeping less. If you want a good work-life balance, the key word is BALANCE! Stop doing so much, thinking you need to achieve a lot to feel acknowledged and valued. You are already valued. A full-time mother is still an accomplishment to a Qualified Chartered Accountant. Yes they are different titles but they both have heavy responsibilities. They can also be rewarding too! Please do not define success as the title you have, it is only a title and it will be passed on to someone else when our time is up.

I am encouraging you ladies today, embrace the season you are in. Breathe, take your time, learn from ALL your mistakes, and create solutions. Admit when you need help, and see how your life and mind will transform.

Remember what you think about will follow you every step of the way.

TAKE TIME OFF SOCIAL MEDIA!

For those who know me, you would know how social media is a part of what I do. I decided to take a few days off social media to recuperate, reflect and have me time. I want to tell you that social media isn’t running away from you. No matter how many posts you see on a daily basis, you will not be behind on anything, as long as you discipline your mind well.

There needs to be balance in everything we do; if we constantly partake in the same routine, we will only achieve the same results. Taking time off what you are used to is good for your mind to rest. It is refreshing to do different activities. I take time off social media to regain focus and plan for the future. When things seem overwhelming, I wouldn’t recommend using social media as a way to ease the pain; this will only increase it.

Depending on how your mindset is positioned, for me, I thank God He has helped me to develop self-control, to know what I need to take into account and what I don’t need to take into account. This takes time, so please do not put yourself under any pressure if you are influenced so quickly.

My question to you is: what purpose is social media providing that makes you a better person? Is it just to compare yourself to others and secretly put yourself down behind the scenes? Or, are you trying to avoid someone to ‘secure your insecurities?’ Do not let these be so, and don’t give any of them room in your life. These are emotions talking and they aren’t always accurate. Taking time off social media is meant to be for healthy purposes; not just to avoid people or the hype.

You are valuable and for those that use social media, use it wisely because someone’s life could be inspired by what you post. Don’t post out of boredom or to show off. Your intentions speak louder than your mouth does. Be humble. Be kind. Serve. Make someone else’s day and focus on your lane. Social media is not the ultimate goal. It is a resource that is used every second. Remember who the source is: God. Don’t allow social media to break you into pieces. It is good to take a break. Remember this. You are not missing out on anything!

You are loved ❤
