In as much as it is important to guard our hearts, there’s something so beautiful about guarding your friend’s hearts too. As we are gradually coming out of the pandemic, it may take some time to adjust with socialising with our friends and loved ones, but there is something special about having fellowship with one another. Being able to hug your friend again, talk face-to-face, and more importantly, meet like-minded people, creating new friendships and relationships too.
The importance of guarding our hearts are extremely important, and in all honestly, I for one am a strong advocate in ensuring that my heart is guarded, however, we do need to surround ourselves with the right people when building. There is a saying: “Your network is your net worth” – I want to add on this that “Guarding your heart is also guarding your friend’s heart as well.” We should not wait until something happens for us to appreciate one another. It should start now. Sometimes we won’t always be strong and this is why YOU exist to be the anchor in your friend’s heart.
Above all, live in the present moment and make the most of your life by being able to create precious memories whilst guarding your own heart as well as those around you. Love is a powerful tool that ought not to be taken for granted; use it wisely and guard it. It shouldn’t be taken lightly. To all the great women who are working hard not only for themselves and others; we truly see you and we salute you. The best is yet to come for you all.
Woman; as you approach 2021, remember, it is okay to have a plan. BUT, don’t allow that plan to be the only focus. Learn how to open up and embrace change. If you can summarise 2020 as a whole, what would it be? As for me, I have learnt about the beauty of dealing with uncertainty, not always having a concrete strategy, and being able to adapt in my current environment. Everyone has faced 2020 from a different lens, but as you approach 2021, take heed to the valuable lessons learnt in 2020, and prepare for greatness. Seek wisdom. Gain knowledge. Expand your understanding. Think bigger. Step out of your comfort zone. Do the impossible.
Approach 2021 with a great expectation that despite the abrupt last-minute changes, you will be your sisters-keeper and will lift each woman up as you walk the journey of a new year.
Women’s Worth Conference Group would like to publicly thank every individual who takes the time to read our blog posts and gain encouragement from them. We are thankful that it inspires each reader and believing that 2021 will be the year where more written content will be made, being able to impact many more people. Have a lovely New Year ahead, and be EXPECTANT! The best is yet to come!
What greater love does a human being have for an entire nation? The world in itself is so big that in our limited hearts, may be impossible to love or even reach everyone. However, I know of a man who gave His own life, died a cruel death, where those who were meant to help Him, ridiculed and spat on Him. His name is Jesus Christ, and today, we celebrate Easter Sunday; the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour.
I can’t even begin to fathom how amazing and faithful God in. Even when I have my lowest and dark moments, feelings of whether I can carry on, all because I was in my own emotions; but Jesus, in His power reminded me that on this day (Sunday 12th April 2020), that every stagnant situation in my life will lift off me NOW! I am in awe and will always be thankful for what Jesus has done for me.
Coming from a long way in life, I have had many achievements as well as dark moments, but through it all, Jesus has been on my side, cheering me on, giving me creative ideas on how I can continue with the vision He gave me, granting me rest when my body gets weak. I know that nobody can love me the way Jesus can, neither will the motives of a man’s heart be more pure than Christ Himself.
I am fully rest assured that my best days are ahead of me, and nothing that was in the past will ever equate to what is coming for me. My testimony is warming up and all those that have struggled to see why they had to go through what they had to go through will see Christ in my testimony and give Him praise. For every painful situation, there is a way out.
Celebrate today the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is available to everyone and will not discriminate. I am a full living witness and testimony to Jesus’ goodness! He will bless you; He wants to grant you your hearts desires and give you more. This is your opportunity to give Him what is due to His Name. Has He been good to you? I KNOW He has!
This week always gets me emotional when I think about Easter. It is an opportunity to ponder, reflect and be thankful for what Jesus did for all of us on the Cross over 2,000 years ago. Despite what is happening throughout our world, let us not allow the coronavirus to take the headlines of Christ. Christ is higher and greater than corona.
I was meant to travel to Malta this weekend with one of my favourite sisters, however, due to the coronavirus, the flight has been cancelled. I was looking forward to spending Easter at Malta for a change, as my Easter celebrations have always been in London. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the opportunity to see the Easter weekend in advance. I have been humbled, and despite all that is happening, there is still an opportunity to celebrate Easter everywhere.
I want to encourage you to not be put off by what is happening in the world today. Life is tough; that I know. Nevertheless, it shouldn’t have such power that we can’t endeavour to move on with life and reflect on what Christ did for us. When I think of the Cross, I can only humble myself with my knees bowed down, lifting up my hands and saying to Jesus, “thank YOU for taking my place”. When you look at your problems, you can’t understand or fathom the beauty of Easter, but when you look up to the Cross, that is where you gain strength and the ability to carry on in life.
Let this weekend cause you to rejoice, because had it not been for the Cross, nobody would be here right now. Don’t allow your circumstances to make you bitter or cause you to give up on your loved ones. Jesus had a large heart to care for all of us, and this weekend is an opportunity to express how much we love Him back. I will be watching The Passion of the Christ this weekend with my family, as well as celebrating Easter with my church family online.
Don’t allow corona to take the headlines of Christ. Christ is greater than corona. You have to believe it!
Enjoy this weekend to the fullest; don’t allow your emotions or feelings to get in the way. Your strength is in your praise.
If you know my story, you’ll know why I smile so much, no matter what I go through. It takes real strength to keep being persistent.
When I look at how far I’ve come and the plans I’ve made thus far, I would always think I’d be further than where I am. But I’ve realised in the discovery season, it is God who has put me where I am today.
I’m not too early and I’m not too late; I’m right ON TIME! I’m embracing the present and being expectant for what it is to come.
Thankful and humbled for the way God uses people to choose me in sharing my story to be an inspiration onto others.
Thank you Ben Televisions ft. Minas Dollz for the opportunity to share my story on the vision of Authentic Worth, my writing career, women empowerment, mental health and social media.
When you have a vision, make sure you fulfil it. Don’t delay! It won’t be easy when you start, but it will be worth it in the end. Just because it hasn’t happened when you wanted it to, doesn’t mean that it won’t. Delay isn’t denial. 2019; you’ve done me WELL!
PS: ladies and gentlemen; Keep doing you; it suits YOU!👌🏾
