WHAT JANUARY 2020 HAS TAUGHT ME THUS FAR! – KOBE BRYANT 1978-2020

Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well in 2020 so far? As for me, I really have to take in deep breaths. Where do I start? January 2020 has truly been a month of preparation, laying the foundation for the months ahead, and in particular, positioning my mind to expect bigger. (To those that have a vision to bless many, you would know what I am talking about)

I must also mention that January has truly taught me that nobody knows tomorrow. In as much as it is great to plan for a great future, I am always, and I mean ALWAYS reminded to number my days as David said in Psalm 90:12. I will get to this very soon!

It has been said that January is the month where we prepare ourselves for how the rest of the year will plan out, what goals we desire to achieve, and staying on top of our projects. However, has it occurred to you that tomorrow is not promised? How many of us say “I’ll do it tomorrow!”. I have, and it’s only by God’s Grace that we are able to see the next day.

I remember on Sunday 26th January 2020 having ‘me time’, thinking and dwelling on many things, that my heart felt so heavy. It felt like a blur, wondering why certain things cropped up on me so suddenly, to then see one of my friend’s story on Instagram that Kobe Bryant passed away that very same day! To even add to this, another 8 passengers including his daughter had also passed…

This is what I am referring to when David said we should number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom. What does this mean? In my own understanding, it is to gain a mindset that is fixated not on the things of the world, but living life on purpose and good intention. The legacy Kobe left has impacted thousands, if not millions of lives. The question I truly want to leave you with is: “how will people remember you?” – What will people remember you for?

Death is something that no human being can control, neither is it a topic we like to focus or talk about. No matter how many medications and tablets someone takes, although the body naturally works for itself, there is still a tendency that anything can happen at anytime. Don’t depend on tomorrow, for it may never come. Focus on one day at a time and don’t worry when plans don’t fall in place. It happens for a reason. Every rejection, loss, pain, tear and frustration is strengthening you.

Do you know why I can say this so confidently? Because I lost my sister in May 2018 and this is why my purpose is to inspire individuals through storytelling and book-writing. I decided to write a book to allow her legacy to live on. If I tell you, death is something that happens every second all around the world. So many people leave without informing us, the same way Kobe’s unexpected death shocked the world. At the same time, Kobe created so much attention that made the world realise that legacy is contagious and can still make an impact. Death is not a respect of anyone, whether you are living in riches or not. Kobe had a heart to serve, and it was evident to his family, friends, loved ones and fans.

When you live a life that is bigger than yourself, you will truly be remember for good deeds.

I am here to remind you to keep being a light to your world. Do not allow the material possessions, fame, or money to be the main reason you exist. You are more than resources or a title. You are still alive because someone is praying for you. Your purpose in life is not over. I believe the reason why people leave the earth so suddenly is because their work is completed. What is painful in our eyes is God’s gain. We really have to understand this before it is too late.

Do not allow anger, hurt, pain and unforgiveness to rob you in fulfilling your purpose. No matter how big or small you may feel, you have a lot to give in this world. Please do not take any day for granted. As we soon step into February 2020, let us use each day to be grateful, especially for health! If there is one thing you can be thankful for, what would it be? I will say LIFE. This is the air we breathe for free. A gift that no man can give.

To the rest of our loved ones that have passed away already in 2020, thank you and I salute you (whether I know you or not), thank you for being existent on earth. To us who are alive, well and breathing, please live a life bigger than you. Don’t hold grudges against people (as hard as this can be at times), it is not worth it. Let your legacy speak louder than your words. Help others that are less fortunate than you, and don’t take anyone for granted.

Remember, you don’t know what anyone is going through. Someone’s smile can cover up so much pain, so be careful with the words uttered from your mouth. A lot of people may want to give up, and what you say could potentially change their life.

You are here for a great purpose. Don’t waste your life, and remember to live each day as if it was your last because no one knows when God will come back for His children. Don’t only live for yourself, but live for the lives of others and create a long-lasting legacy. To get your copy of From Glory to Glory visit our website

I still remember January 01st 2019. I knew all the plans and tasks I set myself to do. Fast forward now, we are in November! I don’t know about you, but this year has gone extremely fast! Now, for someone who works independently, it has made me realise that time does not wait for anybody. You have to utilise everything around you before it is too late.

What is so important about November? To me, this season is about looking at how far I’ve come, and cherishing the lessons, tests, fears, triumphs, blessings and favour that I’ve received throughout this year. I will write a separate blog post about what this year meant to me in December.

I want to take this opportunity to encourage all my readers to know that life is beautiful when YOU make it out to be. There are great opportunities around us that we can take full advantage of. TIME is one of them. BREATH OF LIFE is another. Don’t take these for granted.

For those who know, as an Author of three books, I always inspire people to bring about their creative side and use what they have gone through to make it work for them. You may have enjoyed and still enjoying 2019, whereas some others may have found this year difficult. Regardless of whatever it is, you will experience a bit of both.

I will be hosting Authentic Worth’s final event of the year on Saturday 14th December 2019. This event is dedicated to everyone that wants to learn something creative and use their skills to their advantage, to become better people and make a change in their society. You can register here for more information and to find out location details, speakers and activities.

Let 2019 end EXTREMELY WELL! I am going to be sharing tips on how to prepare for 2020 very soon so keep an eye on that!

Enjoy this new month of November and let’s make it a good one!

QUESTIONS ABOUT LIFE!

DEDICATED TO ALL BEAUTIFUL WOMEN

Do you know why you are here? Sis, I understand what you are going through. I know the tears you cry; when fear cripples you and makes you feel something is missing. When the world is telling you to rush for success quickly, particularly before age 30. That is the age where everything must be complete; a house, your husband, your first or second child, a beautiful family car, a successful business. No matter what you want to achieve, do not allow the standards of the world to take over.

You are more than what the world and society labels you as. Sis, you are doing your best, but can I tell you one thing. You will fail. You will fail if you keep doing it all by yourself. You will be frustrated trying to fix everyone’s perception of you. You will be annoyed when others compare their progress with yours. Why? Because there is a tendency to allow what other people portray to trigger your self-esteem.

I know how it feels to work so hard and not see results come to fruition. I know. You had the perfect plan, but it just did not seem to work. I know the feeling of making an attempt to balance everything, to the extent where you lose sleep and feel anxious about tomorrow when you are still living in your today. Do you know how much that can make a woman feel? Let alone not loving who she is called to be.

Struggling with low self-esteem and having the ‘MIA’ time not only causes isolation but frustration. Do not keep yourself away from people. When your girls are celebrating their successes, you must understand that you are also a part of their success. Jealousy and envy should not be part of it. Are you hearing me? Jealousy and envy should not be part of it. You may have all your girls around, but it doesn’t mean you know what they are going through.

We smile through social media and post the fun parts of our lives, but behind close doors we scream and shout for help, fear of parents and loved ones criticising us for where we are. Feeling helpless and lacking purpose. Tired and weak and just on the brink of giving up. My sister, please do not give up. Do not look at life as if it has failed you. Life may have it’s ups and downs, but guess who will keep your life in perfect peace? JESUS ❤ <– that is your answer to all your questions about life.

To understand purpose, you can find it in my book Completion

YOU ARE AN AUTHOR WHEN YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT!

Anyone can write a book. You don’t have to be perfect to start; you just need to start in order to reach perfection. You have to believe in yourself and put the effort in. Your life is a book. When you think about it, all that you have been through to get to the position you are in can be used as your first book.

I started my writing career in 2014, and have used it to write blogs, create my own website and have published three books, alongside helping clients with their first books. I have used my career to start an online course teaching on the fundamental skills of how to write a book.

You have what it takes to write the book. For more information on how to register, click here. The workshop is on Saturday 21st September 2019.

Remember; your life is a story in itself. All you need to do is be consistent and keep your mind flowing with ideas. Your life will give you what to write about. For more information, keep up to date with the website on http://www.authenticworth.com

See you on Saturday 21st September!

It’s Okay Not To Be Okay

Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves each time we wake up and see a new day?

What causes us to become so discontent with what we have that causes bitterness in our hearts towards others?

How do we use what we go through to inspire and create a platform to voice out and help others in need?

What kind of solution are you going to create to help those who are about to give up?

I will keep saying this; IT IS OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY. I don’t always have it together and I don’t worry about it because the more you worry, the more it will affect your health. Please note this. It is fine to have your plans wrecked, it is okay not to have everything under your control. There are always logical reasons behind this. I remember a time my friend had an interview and was late for around 5/6 minutes. My friend did not get the job. My friend then applied for the same job but closer to home and finally received the job. My friends concern was how am I going to survive without having a job, not realising that ‘distance’ was not taken into account and this is what at times we take for granted.

We want something so badly that we rush the process and apply for anything; however we have not calculated the consequences (the length of journey) in this case to even consider if we will make it ‘on time’. Please know that when a rejection letter comes, it is not them rejecting you; it is them rejecting your ‘potential lateness’. Do not write yourself off and feel you don’t add value. Only someone who is not breathing doesn’t add value. You are alive and well reading this post so believe when I say you will be okay.

It is okay not to have everything together; Rome was not built in a day, neither can we expect our lives to be the way we want it to be in one day. It is a process that we must not forfeit and keep going until the victory is won. Some days will be harder but it will get better. You will smile again; you will laugh again; you will love again, but throughout the journey, learn something from it. Take it and use to your advantage.

You have a purpose; you are worthy and you matter. Don’t write yourself off just because someone else did. There are people who you know and don’t know that watch you whether it is through social media, videos or your website. Don’t hide yourself for fear of being judged. Let transparency speak for itself. People invest in those that are real and honest about what they go through. Don’t ‘pretend’. We have enough pretence in our generation that we NOW need truth and selflessness. Remember: it is okay not to be okay.

Love Esther.
