There are so many thoughts that run through our minds of confidence in reference to how the status of the economy looks like, whether our businesses will thrive, if there will be a sudden recession, people losing their jobs, mental health issues and isolation. So many thoughts come up to mind.

However, do you know that what you think about is the results that will show forth? For me, I’ve had to adapt to different ways of thinking from discipling my mental ability to think positively, by focusing on what I do have which is the gift of life, a roof over my head, the ability to interact with family and friends and inner peace. During this season, the majority of people have many thoughts of how they will survive and what isn’t going right in their lives, which cause them to be distracted and underproductive.

Remember this: what you focus on, you magnify in your mind and in reality.

I want to give you SEVEN tips on how to be confident during Covid-19:

Tip number one: Always be thankful – no matter what you do not have, there is someone that wants your life. The little you have is a big blessing in the eyes of someone else. Contentment goes a very long way when you start in your humble beginnings.

Tip number two: Write down what you are good at – this is a great way to start bringing out your creativity skills and doing something different. For example, if you like baking and want to try out different desserts and see how many you can make; who knows, this could be a side business for you.

Tip number three: Invest in online education and e-learning. There is a lot that can be done in this season, particularly for those that are working from home or have a business. You can turn these online education sessions into live video calls including Zoom or Teams Microsoft to for further development inviting other people to join.

Tip number four: Don’t think about what you’ve lost – it isn’t always easy, especially when you’ve worked extremely hard to be where you are. For every loss, there is always a greater gain. Be willing to accept it and move on gracefully.

Tip number five: Get to know others virtually and reach out to family and friends – it is important to not only reach out to those you know but make friends with people you don’t know online. Social media is a great platform to do this. Who knows, that person could be an advantage to you in future and vice versa.

Tip number six: Renew your mindset – once Covid-19 is over, don’t think in your old ways. Embrace the changes that come your way and be willing to adapt to new methods and regulations. Be open-minded to what is coming your way and continue to keep that positive attitude at all times.

Tip number seven: Invest in yourself – this is extremely important. Self-care has to be one of the greatest priorities in anyone’s life. When you are good, everything else around you is good. Don’t neglect yourself because of where you are. Take care of your spiritual, mental and emotional space and see how life will get better for you. Be an influential being.

Let these seven tips help you cope during this season and know together we WILL beat Covid-19!

Remember; Authentic Worth is bringing worth back into you through storytelling and book-writing.

Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the journey of 2020 so far?

We haven’t got long to go until we launch our first workshop of the year with Authentic Worth. The theme is: building self-confidence and personal development in 2020!

Below are all our videos to date of what the workshop will entail:

Building Self-Confidence and Personal Development in 2020

Be confident in who you are

Building Self-Confidence and Personal Development in 2020 Part 2

11 tips on building self-confidence and personal development

The importance of building self-confidence and personal development will enable you to be better than you was yesterday and expect to have a greater tomorrow. Remember that confidence is not built in a day; it takes your whole life. However, we want you to get to a stage where you are purely confident, especially when the trials and tribulations of life come.

No one is exempt from life’s challenges, but we can take one day at a time to be better and bring out the best in others. I’ll be sharing alongside our two special guest speakers on how we found our confidence and developed ourselves through our careers, our personal and professional endeavours. There is still time to sign up for the workshop so do not miss out!

You have to be intentional about working on yourself daily and being the best version of you. There isn’t anyone out there like you; you are unique.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 14th March 2020 at 12.00pm!

Much love and remember: your self-confidence and personal development are not for sale!

How you start the year is very important. When looking back over 2019, what did you learn from the past 12 months and how will you make 2020 different? What were the highlights in 2019, the low points in 2019, the silent seasons in 2019 and the unexpected blessings in 2019?

A gentle reminder that each new year will bring a new challenge; please brace yourselves for this! This is not to scare you or make you crawl back into your comfort zone where there is stagnant growth. No! We must be prepared for what challenges and setbacks will come, because for every obstacle, there is a solution. There is nothing impossible for God to do. Challenges keep you humble; they help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and teaches you how to respond better!

Remember that each second of your life you can’t get it back; in this case, your focus, your priorities, the people you surround yourself with, how you position God in your life (pivotal) <<<- I must emphasise on this; how you see God in 2020 will dictate how He will move on your behalf. You can’t expect to see a change if you are doing the same thing expecting a different result. God cannot be limited so don’t limit Him. He can do more than you think, and the plans you have set for yourself cannot comprehend to what He has already planned for the twelve months of 2020! He will shock you with what He has in mind!! Guaranteed!

A new 2020; are you going to make it count? Don’t wait for opportunities; create them. BE THE OPPORTUNITY. Do something different; be creative, be kind, be attractive, be bold, be authentic! Don’t try to imitate anyone in this new season; be inspired not intimidated – work on yourself, work on your heart. Take it one step at a time – do not go too fast and do not work too slowly at the same time balance

Read! Read! READ! I can’t emphasise how important reading is to the mind. As an Author of three books, I continue working on Authentic Worth and the impact it’s making for aspiring Authors and many creatives. From last year’s workshop, we endeavour each and every person to invest in reading and studying books and taking it seriously! Write down your story and turn it into a book for others to be inspired. You could be the next Author of the year 2020 – more information is found on our website.

Let 2020 be a different yet, U-N-I-Q-U-E. Step out of your comfort zone. BELIEVE FOR WHAT ISN’T SEEN, HAVE FAITH THAT WILL INSPIRE YOU TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. DON’T WAIT TO BE CALLED, PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE. Show that you have what it takes! 2020 will be a beautiful year, but it is up to YOU to make it beautiful!

I look forward to enjoying this beautiful new decade and more importantly, seeing growth locally and globally, as well as our family members, loved ones and friends. Be consistent in building a community of exponential change because you have what it take, however, it may take some time. Remember, SLOW GROWTH IS BETTER THAN NO GROWTH!

Don’t rush God; don’t disturb the process. It is doing what it needs to do on its own. Be still and listen, rather than disrupt and talk too quickly. Get WISDOM – this is the secret to a successful life!

Above all, enjoy this new year…2020 I salute you with arms open wide. I am thankful to God for how far He has brought me and looking forward to working wiser, smarter and thinking BIGGER! It’s all IN you and it is time to bring it OUT of you!

To a supernatural and powerful 2020…have a good one and enjoy the journey everyone!

Love Esther.

Writing has been a passion since 2012 in my second year of university. I was advised by a dear friend to journal each night before I went to bed. Since then, I have carried on this momentum and used it to launch my online blog in 2014. I then transitioned to launching my own company Authentic Worth in 2018. Our company provides support and guidance in aiding aspiring Authors to publish their first books.

As a multi-published Author, my desire is to see people win in their personal and professional endeavours through storytelling and creative writing.

For this reason, Authentic Worth will be having our last event of the year on Saturday 14th December 2019. Our theme is: Authors of our Generation. Our new Authors will be talking about their journey of what inspired them to write and how Authentic Worth has benefitted them in their writing careers. We had previous workshops and book launches that have benefitted many people which you will be able to read on our testimonials.

Tickets are available on EventBrite to register. We have a lot of activities on the day ranging from prize give-a-ways, Q&A, panel sessions, light snacks and so much more!

Leaving a strong legacy is what Authentic Worth stands for and we will continue to inspire and impact many people on a local and global scale.

Authentic Worth is bringing worth back into you through storytelling, inspiration and lifestyle.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 14th December 2019!

Dedicated to aspiring Authors – “you do not have to overthink it, just write it!”
