How is progress made?

It would be easy to have everything in life go the way you’d plan isn’t it? The long wait can be tedious and frustrating at times, but it’s in those seasons that we learn how to progress gradually. There are key lessons that won’t always be learnt by going through the short-cut route. Sure, you may have been waiting a very long time to see certain situations change in your favour, but it will take so much grace and consistency to keep going. Your life is the responsibility of how you handle the obstacles that try to come your way, disturbing you from being your best self.

Progress is a gradual pattern – it doesn’t happen in a day, neither does it happen in a few weeks. The progress I am referring to today is the action we take and don’t always see results quickly. It’s the progress that tempts you to feel you aren’t good enough, however, your spirit tells you to keep pressing. It’s the progress when you are still endeavouring to build an empire to inspire nations, but needs further support and assistance. Progress takes time. The world and society should not make you feel you are out of alignment. You are where you are because of the decisions that have been made. You can choose to progress gradually and wait patiently for the harvest to come. There should not be any feeling of inadequacy or doubt in you, that you may or may not be able to achieve something.

Pressure is truly on every side, however, how you choose to respond shows a lot about the character you portray and the maturity levels you have within. Surround yourself with like-minded people who are willing to bring out the best in you, and how you too, will add value into the lives of others. Life has to be a win-win situation. It is not one person wins and the other person loses. You are ultimately responsible for the life you desire to live, and each day will gradually take you to the place that you need to progress on. So, don’t doubt what is happening right now in your life. Even if you can’t see what is happening, it doesn’t mean you aren’t achieving anything. It’s those seeds that have been put in the ground that cause a great harvest to appear. Remember that even in quiet moments, progress is made. Take it easy and remember that your life will get better as long as you take each day as it comes. It is well with you – you ARE making progress, because you are a work-in-progress!

Your emotions are important, but they should not control you!

Your emotions are important, but they should not control you!
Your emotions are important, but they should not control you!

As we are in the latter part of 2021, ask yourself this question and take the time to reflect on your emotions. How have they been throughout the year? Have they been healthy or unhealthy? Our world is going through intense pain, knowingly and unknowingly. People crying out for help; others enjoying their riches without thinking about those who are less fortunate. There comes a time in your life where you have to put life on pause or life will put a pause on you.

It is so important in these times to not only understand the way we feel, but not allowing it to control or define the decisions made and words spoken. When you turn on the news, many people are crying out, but how can you understand them fully if you haven’t been in their shoes? Perhaps we haven’t been taught how to control our emotions and the way we feel; instead, we cover it up with excess spending, lack of identity and purpose, and investing in things that doesn’t add value to the human mind. The key value in life is to give in love, not in expectation to receive something back, but doing it from a pure heart.

Will life go back to the way it was? I doubt it – however, you can make life great by building your own community little by little. Understand those around you, and feel what they feel. Encourage them that it is okay to cry, but not to stay down for a long time. These are the basic principles of being able to have a functional life. When you carry too many emotions, you start to act in ways that aren’t wise, therefore, it brings out sides in you that you thought you’d never have. We all have emotions; the rich, the poor, the middle-class; some can control it more than others, but the most important key I want you to get out of this is: control your emotions practically by writing down your thoughts, speaking to a trust family member or friend, going out for walks, resting instead of overworking and burning out. Life is too precious to not enjoy it. Make the most of it with your loved ones, and build on each other’s strengths.

STOP HIDING YOUR GIFTS! WAKE UP WITH ESTHER

After reading a lady’s testimony on Easter weekend, I was inspired, yet challenged to look deep within myself and analyse the gifts that I have within. It prompted me to do this video to remind someone out there that their gifts will make room for them if they use it wisely.

Stop sitting on your gifts. You don’t know how many people are being encouraged by what you do. Not everyone will be your audience. Find your target market and work with what you have. Stop thinking so low of yourself. Jesus did not create you to stay low. Know who you are and never compromise. Take your time in building a legacy; it’s not about quantity of fans, but the quality of people you invest and inspire. What are you hiding?
