MATURED FAITH

MATURED FAITH

There will come a point in our lives where our faith levels will be tested – faith to believe in what you can’t yet see, and the ability to trust that what you are hoping for will come into existence at the right stage in your life. Do you ever feel restless when keeping your faith afloat? In the season we are in, understanding the meaning of life and applying faith to believe in the impossible can deem confusing, frustrating and somewhat, slow. However, it is in the seasons of delay and concern that our faith becomes stronger. We are more relentless when our faith levels are tested, pruned, stretched and transformed

Think of it as going to the gym; your muscles are being stretched and used on a regular basis; it becomes uncomfortable because the inconsistency of not attending the gym has enhanced your muscles on a level you haven’t experienced in quite a while. The faith that you have is an anchor that is for your own benefit. Nonetheless, you may know of someone right now that struggles with believing, especially when it comes to the big projects, dreams and aspirations. We can’t do every task on our own, and for this reason, we must come to the stage where we are selectively open-minded with those who we believe add value to our well-being and can keep us accountable in the faith.

This is a brief encouragement to remind you that in the hard times, your faith is being matured and it is working for you. Through the rejection, loss, betrayal, heartache; so many battles that one may have to face knowingly and unknowingly, are maturing you for a greater level of faith. When your faith is being nurtured, your mental state is also being trained to think the way your mind operates; to think positively despite the unexpected news is encouraging someone who may feel the need to give up. Remember that we do not exist just to survive, but to thrive; to inspire, encourage and impact others on their journey of faith that may feel off the edge.

Remind yourself each day to increase your faith and believe in the impossible, because anything is possible for the one who believes.

***

Hebrews 11:1 says that “Now, faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Let this be your anchor; what you wake to each morning believing that what you desire will happen according to your faith.

***

I want to give you a few questions to ponder on whilst reading the blogpost:

What is making you question what you can’t see at this time?

How can you believe in the impossible, even when your own thoughts tell you it won’t work?

How do you bounce back from the moments where it felt difficult to move on from?

Are you aware that being with someone who doesn’t have a healthy manner of faith can have an impact on your positive faith?

Don’t allow the rest of 2021 to pass you by and be complacent. Your maturity levels of faith will take you where you can’t go on your own. Keep the faith, keep the focus and keep believing! For what you desire will come to those who believe with their hearts.

THE PERSONALITY OF GOD | HOW TO GET CLOSER TO GOD

Every night I journal my thoughts. During my writing, I heard God’s voice: draw close to Me – you will find peace and rest. God reveals His personality to us in different seasons, but the challenge at times is being able to patiently wait for Him to speak. No matter where you are in your relationship with God, I want this video to encourage you that getting closer to God is what He desires. Your intentions to know God should come from a place of surrendering all the distractions, anxious thoughts and unknown fears; how much do you want of Him?Β

When you desire to be in a relationship, it is important to communicate effectively and be clear about what you want from the union; with God, He wants more than a relationship; He wants to be intimate with you. Remind yourself each day that you are making progress! God is not far away from you; He loves and wants the very best for you.

If you have any questions regarding how to get closer to God, message me

WHAT JANUARY 2020 HAS TAUGHT ME THUS FAR! – KOBE BRYANT 1978-2020

Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well in 2020 so far? As for me, I really have to take in deep breaths. Where do I start? January 2020 has truly been a month of preparation, laying the foundation for the months ahead, and in particular, positioning my mind to expect bigger. (To those that have a vision to bless many, you would know what I am talking about)

I must also mention that January has truly taught me that nobody knows tomorrow. In as much as it is great to plan for a great future, I am always, and I mean ALWAYS reminded to number my days as David said in Psalm 90:12. I will get to this very soon!

It has been said that January is the month where we prepare ourselves for how the rest of the year will plan out, what goals we desire to achieve, and staying on top of our projects. However, has it occurred to you that tomorrow is not promised? How many of us say “I’ll do it tomorrow!”. I have, and it’s only by God’s Grace that we are able to see the next day.

I remember on Sunday 26th January 2020 having ‘me time’, thinking and dwelling on many things, that my heart felt so heavy. It felt like a blur, wondering why certain things cropped up on me so suddenly, to then see one of my friend’s story on Instagram that Kobe Bryant passed away that very same day! To even add to this, another 8 passengers including his daughter had also passed…

This is what I am referring to when David said we should number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom. What does this mean? In my own understanding, it is to gain a mindset that is fixated not on the things of the world, but living life on purpose and good intention. The legacy Kobe left has impacted thousands, if not millions of lives. The question I truly want to leave you with is: “how will people remember you?” – What will people remember you for?

Death is something that no human being can control, neither is it a topic we like to focus or talk about. No matter how many medications and tablets someone takes, although the body naturally works for itself, there is still a tendency that anything can happen at anytime. Don’t depend on tomorrow, for it may never come. Focus on one day at a time and don’t worry when plans don’t fall in place. It happens for a reason. Every rejection, loss, pain, tear and frustration is strengthening you.

Do you know why I can say this so confidently? Because I lost my sister in May 2018 and this is why my purpose is to inspire individuals through storytelling and book-writing. I decided to write a book to allow her legacy to live on. If I tell you, death is something that happens every second all around the world. So many people leave without informing us, the same way Kobe’s unexpected death shocked the world. At the same time, Kobe created so much attention that made the world realise that legacy is contagious and can still make an impact. Death is not a respect of anyone, whether you are living in riches or not. Kobe had a heart to serve, and it was evident to his family, friends, loved ones and fans.

When you live a life that is bigger than yourself, you will truly be remember for good deeds.

I am here to remind you to keep being a light to your world. Do not allow the material possessions, fame, or money to be the main reason you exist. You are more than resources or a title. You are still alive because someone is praying for you. Your purpose in life is not over. I believe the reason why people leave the earth so suddenly is because their work is completed. What is painful in our eyes is God’s gain. We really have to understand this before it is too late.

Do not allow anger, hurt, pain and unforgiveness to rob you in fulfilling your purpose. No matter how big or small you may feel, you have a lot to give in this world. Please do not take any day for granted. As we soon step into February 2020, let us use each day to be grateful, especially for health! If there is one thing you can be thankful for, what would it be? I will say LIFE. This is the air we breathe for free. A gift that no man can give.

To the rest of our loved ones that have passed away already in 2020, thank you and I salute you (whether I know you or not), thank you for being existent on earth. To us who are alive, well and breathing, please live a life bigger than you. Don’t hold grudges against people (as hard as this can be at times), it is not worth it. Let your legacy speak louder than your words. Help others that are less fortunate than you, and don’t take anyone for granted.

Remember, you don’t know what anyone is going through. Someone’s smile can cover up so much pain, so be careful with the words uttered from your mouth. A lot of people may want to give up, and what you say could potentially change their life.

You are here for a great purpose. Don’t waste your life, and remember to live each day as if it was your last because no one knows when God will come back for His children. Don’t only live for yourself, but live for the lives of others and create a long-lasting legacy. To get your copy of From Glory to Glory visit our website

YOUR CHARACTER WILL MAINTAIN YOU

Image result for your character quotes

When you have a good character, it shows. Through your mannerism, your lifestyle, your conduct. Everywhere you go, your aura will speak before your mouth does. In our generation today, where it seems that people are striving for financial success and popularity, I have understood the importance of being humble, not weak. There is a difference in humility and pride!

In my previous video, I spoke about the pressures of social media and how it is becoming a ‘source’ of ‘self-affirmation’ or where to feel approved. Social media is a platform and resource; it should not define who you are or cause you to change. Your proof is in the hard work behind the scenes, the tears, the frustrations, the silent rejections that will gradually enable you to get to where you need to be. Through your rejection you can create opportunities, and that is when character is birthed. You can always have a good character when everything works in your favour, but when things seem to not be working, that is where true character is tested.

With a great character, you are not only attracting blessings, but people will notice and will invest in you (the RIGHT people – not those who are going to take from you and run away). It would be really upsetting to have invisible pride and not deal with it at the early stages. No one is expecting you to be successful in a day. There is success and there is ‘SUCCESS’. The success I am talking about and determined to strive for is Godly success. No matter how relevant or popular one is, if God is not in the centre, the success will not last.

You may have the materialistic possessions, but not the wisdom to handle it. You may have knowledge but the character if not thoroughly checked can cause double-mindedness. Don’t let this be you. Be true to yourself. Love where you are, and allow each day to teach you something, because it will. When you have a good character, it attracts blessings that you did not have to work hard for; it also brings those above you to understand your goals, dreams and visions and can partner with you, just because of your character.

Do not be deceived, being humble does not mean allowing anyone to take you for granted. You can have a kind heart and be a firm individual at the same time. You have every right to protect your heart (Proverbs 4:23). Be true to yourself, and if you sincerely have an issue in dealing with insecurities, speak to a trusted friend before it tarnishes the character.

Remember this: character and beauty works hand in hand, and God will use people to help in your time of need. Do not stop being you because support isn’t coming or compromise your values. You will always get what you desire when you least expect it. Be open to change, and above all maintain your character. It will truly get you further than where you are now.

With love,
