How is progress made?

It would be easy to have everything in life go the way you’d plan isn’t it? The long wait can be tedious and frustrating at times, but it’s in those seasons that we learn how to progress gradually. There are key lessons that won’t always be learnt by going through the short-cut route. Sure, you may have been waiting a very long time to see certain situations change in your favour, but it will take so much grace and consistency to keep going. Your life is the responsibility of how you handle the obstacles that try to come your way, disturbing you from being your best self.

Progress is a gradual pattern – it doesn’t happen in a day, neither does it happen in a few weeks. The progress I am referring to today is the action we take and don’t always see results quickly. It’s the progress that tempts you to feel you aren’t good enough, however, your spirit tells you to keep pressing. It’s the progress when you are still endeavouring to build an empire to inspire nations, but needs further support and assistance. Progress takes time. The world and society should not make you feel you are out of alignment. You are where you are because of the decisions that have been made. You can choose to progress gradually and wait patiently for the harvest to come. There should not be any feeling of inadequacy or doubt in you, that you may or may not be able to achieve something.

Pressure is truly on every side, however, how you choose to respond shows a lot about the character you portray and the maturity levels you have within. Surround yourself with like-minded people who are willing to bring out the best in you, and how you too, will add value into the lives of others. Life has to be a win-win situation. It is not one person wins and the other person loses. You are ultimately responsible for the life you desire to live, and each day will gradually take you to the place that you need to progress on. So, don’t doubt what is happening right now in your life. Even if you can’t see what is happening, it doesn’t mean you aren’t achieving anything. It’s those seeds that have been put in the ground that cause a great harvest to appear. Remember that even in quiet moments, progress is made. Take it easy and remember that your life will get better as long as you take each day as it comes. It is well with you – you ARE making progress, because you are a work-in-progress!

Guard your friend’s heart as well…

Guard your friend’s heart too

In as much as it is important to guard our hearts, there’s something so beautiful about guarding your friend’s hearts too. As we are gradually coming out of the pandemic, it may take some time to adjust with socialising with our friends and loved ones, but there is something special about having fellowship with one another. Being able to hug your friend again, talk face-to-face, and more importantly, meet like-minded people, creating new friendships and relationships too.

The importance of guarding our hearts are extremely important, and in all honestly, I for one am a strong advocate in ensuring that my heart is guarded, however, we do need to surround ourselves with the right people when building. There is a saying: “Your network is your net worth” – I want to add on this that “Guarding your heart is also guarding your friend’s heart as well.” We should not wait until something happens for us to appreciate one another. It should start now. Sometimes we won’t always be strong and this is why YOU exist to be the anchor in your friend’s heart.

Above all, live in the present moment and make the most of your life by being able to create precious memories whilst guarding your own heart as well as those around you. Love is a powerful tool that ought not to be taken for granted; use it wisely and guard it. It shouldn’t be taken lightly. To all the great women who are working hard not only for themselves and others; we truly see you and we salute you. The best is yet to come for you all.

With love,

Woman’s Worth Conference Group.

JUST KEEP GOING!

I know it isn’t always easy, but you have to keep going. I have been finding ways to understand and help people nurture and utilise their gifts and make it work for them effectively. Recently, I have been asked the question of “what do you do when you are unemployed” or “how did you spend your time not working”. My answer was: “it is in you to create the job rather than find the job”. I’ll explain further:

A lot of us, if not all, tend to make job searching a priority, because it must be the quickest way to make money right? _________ <—- I’ll allow you to fill in the blank 🙂

What if you are constantly applying but not getting any responses? They all seem to be rejection, sighs and frustrations. I secured my first full-time job after a good three years from graduating. Was it easy to wait? No. Was it worth the wait? Yes! During my time of not working, (although I must humbly admit, I was only working between 8-15 hours a week in retail part time, so still wasn’t as easy at it looked). I used my unemployment season to create a YouTube channel, made my first wig, socialised and collaborated with different people, and more importantly worked on myself by publishing my first book.

You see, this life will either make you do two things:

1) STAY STILL AND DO NOTHING OR;
2) KEEP GOING

The choice is down to you. There is no excuse to be lazy, dormant, or waiting for the ‘right opportunity’. YOU ARE ALREADY THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY! You must position your mind to believe this, or you will be waiting a very long time. No one has the same fingerprint or DNA as you. Looking at how others are coping with life will not change yours. You have to keep up the pace and move. Don’t stay stagnant, even when rejection comes! Use that rejection to create an opportunity.

God has put so much in you that if you aren’t willing to identify it, you will forfeit the process and miss the blessing. Had it not been for the constant rejections of my past when trying to secure a job, I would not have been able to write my first book in 2016. Now I have written three books, created an online course for aspiring authors, built Authentic Worth, and conducting events and workshops.

Even when the support isn’t there, which usually happens at the beginning stages, you will realise gradually that through the amount of time and effort put into working on your craft, someone will help you with the journey, as long as you don’t give up! Remember this, because there are people who are inspired by you, without realising it! Don’t give up!

4 MONTHS TO GO! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

We literally have 4 months left till 2019 is done! Who remembers the 1st January!! Ahhhh!! But on a serious note, this year has been one of the best years of my life. Many open opportunities and a leaps of FAITH I’d have to take to be where I am today. Biggest achievement to date is the launching of my third book on behalf of my late sister (will be doing an in depth video about the book soon! – subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven’t!) If you would like a copy of the book, visit my website. “From Glory to Glory – THE NEXT LEVEL!”

Remember everyday you write your legacy. How do people define you?

NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY | BOOK LAUNCH 2019 | BOOK SIGNING

I am honoured to announce that I have written a third book: From Glory to Glory and can be purchased on my website and Amazon. This book is a real, raw and transparent read that will enable to reflect on your own life and understand the purpose behind why you are here. I keep saying to all readers that they have purpose. YOU have purpose; I have purpose. You are not a mistake and someone is expecting a breakthrough from all the pain you have encountered.

The journey of writing is not an easy one, I tell you. It takes a lot of separation, thinking, reflection, focus and determination to be consistent but I decided to carry on with it.

Since 2016 when I launched my first book, I enjoyed writing about how I felt, how my day went and what I learnt. I like to write in a way that inspires, convicts and informs readers that it is okay not to be okay. We are living in a generation where we want everything to look and be perfect, but it is okay for it to crumble and fall apart; when situations don’t look clear, it is a sure sign that it will get better. Your situation will not last forever; just allow life to keep doing what its doing.

A book launch will be held on Saturday 27th July 2019. More information can be found on this link.

If you are also interested in learning how to write a book, click on this link for more information on how to enrol. It is a great way to get your story heard and learn the process of writing a book from start to finish.

Someone needs to hear what you have been through in order to be set free.

Remember: you are not alone in this journey called life!
