In as much as it is important to guard our hearts, there’s something so beautiful about guarding your friend’s hearts too. As we are gradually coming out of the pandemic, it may take some time to adjust with socialising with our friends and loved ones, but there is something special about having fellowship with one another. Being able to hug your friend again, talk face-to-face, and more importantly, meet like-minded people, creating new friendships and relationships too.
The importance of guarding our hearts are extremely important, and in all honestly, I for one am a strong advocate in ensuring that my heart is guarded, however, we do need to surround ourselves with the right people when building. There is a saying: “Your network is your net worth” – I want to add on this that “Guarding your heart is also guarding your friend’s heart as well.” We should not wait until something happens for us to appreciate one another. It should start now. Sometimes we won’t always be strong and this is why YOU exist to be the anchor in your friend’s heart.
Above all, live in the present moment and make the most of your life by being able to create precious memories whilst guarding your own heart as well as those around you. Love is a powerful tool that ought not to be taken for granted; use it wisely and guard it. It shouldn’t be taken lightly. To all the great women who are working hard not only for themselves and others; we truly see you and we salute you. The best is yet to come for you all.
Women are a gift – there is beauty in being whole, but there is greater beauty in being able to share strengths and weaknesses to our sisters and those we classify as spiritual mothers, daughters and nieces. The importance of sisterhood and womanhood matters. When we come together and create such a profound legacy of building one another, we gradually extend and impact the lives of those around us.
You matter as a woman; no matter what, it takes consistency to keep going in every season. Your input, your expertise, your lifestyle, your unique beauty, the way you carry yourself impacts those around you. Sisterhood and womanhood are vital – there is a lot that can be achieved when we come together in unity and oneness. The greater the unity, the greater the impact, and in turn, the greater the legacy to those who are watching knowingly and unknowingly.
When you identify your strengths, you can build up on your sister’s strength as well. It takes great focus to be consistent. Sisterhood and womanhood is needed more than ever. Let’s not neglect one another and assume we can do it without others. Although, there are times where we need to be alone for strength and renewal, however, isolating yourself from others isn’t health. The purpose of your existence is to serve others. There is deep joy in being able to help your fellow women and eventually see the rewards. Your sister may not always speak; they may not always feel confident in sharing what they are going through, but as a good sister, you can listen attentively and speak an encouraging word over their life.
Our community needs each other, and how you carry yourself attracts the right people into your life. So, I say today that sisterhood and womanhood matters. Put the crown back on your fellow sister’s head. Help her up when she is down and see how impactful it will be for you in the long run. Check up on your strong sisters; there is only so much one can go through. Above all, remember to add value and bring worth back into your sisters. It will surely pay off!
Woman! That is who you are. You are unique. You are precious. You are valuable. You carry so much weight. You carry a special anointing. The way women are made are extremely important. Each day when I wake up, I always endeavour to do something meaningful; from serving my clients and assisting their writing skills, to checking up on my sisters from time to time, making sure their mental health is in check.
The joy and excitement you get when you see your lady friends become better than they were yesterday. What a world we are currently living in. Our desire to continue being impactful, kind, caring and nurturing starts within. What gives me joy is when women are adding value into the lives of other women. We are already confident beings; we just need to work on ourselves more and be patient during the process. I endeavour to remind women of their WORTH. This is why The Women’s Worth Conference Group exists. An online blog which started in 2014 is now becoming globally influential. I am grateful.
To the woman that may feel not good enough; to the woman that may not understand the gifting and value she has; do not throw away your confidence, for it will be richly rewarded – Hebrews 10:35. Let the words and thoughts uttered be positive, no matter what season you are in. Learn how to add value in the lives of your fellow sisters. They need it and so do you. Keep being an inspirational woman. Keep inventing new innovations and strategies. Keep shining and showing other women how to shine.
Don’t dim your light just because you went through a temporary knock down; queen – lift your head high. You are precious. You are special. You will achieve greater blessings and secure excellent opportunities, because the greater One lives inside of you. Don’t hide under your insecurities; you don’t know how much your struggles and silent fears are going to impact the next generation if only you just come out of your shell. Be a value-added woman. Be YOU!
What greater love does a human being have for an entire nation? The world in itself is so big that in our limited hearts, may be impossible to love or even reach everyone. However, I know of a man who gave His own life, died a cruel death, where those who were meant to help Him, ridiculed and spat on Him. His name is Jesus Christ, and today, we celebrate Easter Sunday; the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour.
I can’t even begin to fathom how amazing and faithful God in. Even when I have my lowest and dark moments, feelings of whether I can carry on, all because I was in my own emotions; but Jesus, in His power reminded me that on this day (Sunday 12th April 2020), that every stagnant situation in my life will lift off me NOW! I am in awe and will always be thankful for what Jesus has done for me.
Coming from a long way in life, I have had many achievements as well as dark moments, but through it all, Jesus has been on my side, cheering me on, giving me creative ideas on how I can continue with the vision He gave me, granting me rest when my body gets weak. I know that nobody can love me the way Jesus can, neither will the motives of a man’s heart be more pure than Christ Himself.
I am fully rest assured that my best days are ahead of me, and nothing that was in the past will ever equate to what is coming for me. My testimony is warming up and all those that have struggled to see why they had to go through what they had to go through will see Christ in my testimony and give Him praise. For every painful situation, there is a way out.
Celebrate today the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is available to everyone and will not discriminate. I am a full living witness and testimony to Jesus’ goodness! He will bless you; He wants to grant you your hearts desires and give you more. This is your opportunity to give Him what is due to His Name. Has He been good to you? I KNOW He has!
This week always gets me emotional when I think about Easter. It is an opportunity to ponder, reflect and be thankful for what Jesus did for all of us on the Cross over 2,000 years ago. Despite what is happening throughout our world, let us not allow the coronavirus to take the headlines of Christ. Christ is higher and greater than corona.
I was meant to travel to Malta this weekend with one of my favourite sisters, however, due to the coronavirus, the flight has been cancelled. I was looking forward to spending Easter at Malta for a change, as my Easter celebrations have always been in London. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the opportunity to see the Easter weekend in advance. I have been humbled, and despite all that is happening, there is still an opportunity to celebrate Easter everywhere.
I want to encourage you to not be put off by what is happening in the world today. Life is tough; that I know. Nevertheless, it shouldn’t have such power that we can’t endeavour to move on with life and reflect on what Christ did for us. When I think of the Cross, I can only humble myself with my knees bowed down, lifting up my hands and saying to Jesus, “thank YOU for taking my place”. When you look at your problems, you can’t understand or fathom the beauty of Easter, but when you look up to the Cross, that is where you gain strength and the ability to carry on in life.
Let this weekend cause you to rejoice, because had it not been for the Cross, nobody would be here right now. Don’t allow your circumstances to make you bitter or cause you to give up on your loved ones. Jesus had a large heart to care for all of us, and this weekend is an opportunity to express how much we love Him back. I will be watching The Passion of the Christ this weekend with my family, as well as celebrating Easter with my church family online.
Don’t allow corona to take the headlines of Christ. Christ is greater than corona. You have to believe it!
Enjoy this weekend to the fullest; don’t allow your emotions or feelings to get in the way. Your strength is in your praise.
