FINISH 2019 STRONG!

Authentic Worth presents the last event of the year: Authors of Our Generation

Throughout 2019, we have worked with several people, supporting aspiring and self-published Authors in writing their books. For this reason, we have decided to grant them an opportunity to talk about their books and what inspired them to write on Saturday 14th December 2019.

On the day, there will be various activities, prize give-a-ways, book signings, networking and Q&A sessions where everyone will get an opportunity to contribute and learn about the process of writing a book.

Tickets for the event is now available and can be reserved here

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email authenticworth@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you there; be prepared to learn and take notes.

Let the ending of 2019 position you in writing and completing your book in 2020!

WRITERS AND AUTHORS OF OUR GENERATION EVENT

Authentic Worth presents: “Writers and Authors of our generation” for creative and first-time aspiring, self-published Authors.

It has been an honour to support aspiring Authors in their writing career(s) and how far they have come. Writing a book takes full concentration, resilience and strength. For this reason, Authentic Worth has decided to team up with our clients who have published their book with us, and we want to give them an opportunity to showcase their books, allowing them to speak about what inspired them to write, what they learnt during the process and in particular, promote their work.

Every Author has a different writing style; how you write a book may not be the same as another person. As an Author of three books, I desire to see those who have worked with Authentic Worth to have a platform in sharing their story. When you have written a book, it is for the purpose of others. I encourage those who have a desire to write a book not to delay. Start with workshops, online courses, and being around existing Authors who are willing to help in your writing journey.

If you have been to our previous events and workshops you would know how useful it has been to many people whose first time is in writing a book. Highlighted feedback from attendees from our previous events and workshops (can also be found on the website.

“I attended the Advanced Book Workshop and Advanced Professional Singers Workshop which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was interesting to experience how both these workshops were not incompatible because of the way Esther weaved them together seamlessly. It was further interesting how the content of the book workshop was planned to make sure that attendees’ experiences were an integral part of the day, and I left feeling that my attendance was well worth it because I came away with tools that I could put to good use in my book journey. I was very impressed by the way in which Esther seek to engage with her audience and served us to a very highly personal standard. It was a very worthwhile experience for me. Thank you”. Esther. (Veronica King, Sept 2019)

“I am glad to have taken the decision to attend Esther’s book workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed, learned and met very nice people. I found the class to be informative, creative and gave me loads of ideas on how to put pen to paper and write a book. We had fun with the team building activities. I would recommend being present at the next workshop trust me you will never regret it. Thanks Esther, you are a Star. Well done!” (Kellee Taiwo, Sept 2019)

“Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop on Saturday 21st September 2019! Was a great pleasure to be a part of the warm up section on the day! I met some incredible people and learned so many practical skills. Despite not being an aspiring author (I’m a music artist) I noticed that many of the principals involved in book writing are the same, when it comes to releasing music. Even if you are not looking to write a book, I would STILL advise you to attend one of Esther’s workshops! You’ll certainly learn some transferrable skills that you can apply or implement in your own life or business” (Joash Scott, Sept 2019)

In particular, we will be giving an opportunity for everyone that is interested in writing a book to ask questions, interact and network.

YOUR CHARACTER WILL MAINTAIN YOU

Image result for your character quotes

When you have a good character, it shows. Through your mannerism, your lifestyle, your conduct. Everywhere you go, your aura will speak before your mouth does. In our generation today, where it seems that people are striving for financial success and popularity, I have understood the importance of being humble, not weak. There is a difference in humility and pride!

In my previous video, I spoke about the pressures of social media and how it is becoming a ‘source’ of ‘self-affirmation’ or where to feel approved. Social media is a platform and resource; it should not define who you are or cause you to change. Your proof is in the hard work behind the scenes, the tears, the frustrations, the silent rejections that will gradually enable you to get to where you need to be. Through your rejection you can create opportunities, and that is when character is birthed. You can always have a good character when everything works in your favour, but when things seem to not be working, that is where true character is tested.

With a great character, you are not only attracting blessings, but people will notice and will invest in you (the RIGHT people – not those who are going to take from you and run away). It would be really upsetting to have invisible pride and not deal with it at the early stages. No one is expecting you to be successful in a day. There is success and there is ‘SUCCESS’. The success I am talking about and determined to strive for is Godly success. No matter how relevant or popular one is, if God is not in the centre, the success will not last.

You may have the materialistic possessions, but not the wisdom to handle it. You may have knowledge but the character if not thoroughly checked can cause double-mindedness. Don’t let this be you. Be true to yourself. Love where you are, and allow each day to teach you something, because it will. When you have a good character, it attracts blessings that you did not have to work hard for; it also brings those above you to understand your goals, dreams and visions and can partner with you, just because of your character.

Do not be deceived, being humble does not mean allowing anyone to take you for granted. You can have a kind heart and be a firm individual at the same time. You have every right to protect your heart (Proverbs 4:23). Be true to yourself, and if you sincerely have an issue in dealing with insecurities, speak to a trusted friend before it tarnishes the character.

Remember this: character and beauty works hand in hand, and God will use people to help in your time of need. Do not stop being you because support isn’t coming or compromise your values. You will always get what you desire when you least expect it. Be open to change, and above all maintain your character. It will truly get you further than where you are now.

With love,

JUST KEEP GOING!

I know it isn’t always easy, but you have to keep going. I have been finding ways to understand and help people nurture and utilise their gifts and make it work for them effectively. Recently, I have been asked the question of “what do you do when you are unemployed” or “how did you spend your time not working”. My answer was: “it is in you to create the job rather than find the job”. I’ll explain further:

A lot of us, if not all, tend to make job searching a priority, because it must be the quickest way to make money right? _________ <—- I’ll allow you to fill in the blank 🙂

What if you are constantly applying but not getting any responses? They all seem to be rejection, sighs and frustrations. I secured my first full-time job after a good three years from graduating. Was it easy to wait? No. Was it worth the wait? Yes! During my time of not working, (although I must humbly admit, I was only working between 8-15 hours a week in retail part time, so still wasn’t as easy at it looked). I used my unemployment season to create a YouTube channel, made my first wig, socialised and collaborated with different people, and more importantly worked on myself by publishing my first book.

You see, this life will either make you do two things:

1) STAY STILL AND DO NOTHING OR;
2) KEEP GOING

The choice is down to you. There is no excuse to be lazy, dormant, or waiting for the ‘right opportunity’. YOU ARE ALREADY THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY! You must position your mind to believe this, or you will be waiting a very long time. No one has the same fingerprint or DNA as you. Looking at how others are coping with life will not change yours. You have to keep up the pace and move. Don’t stay stagnant, even when rejection comes! Use that rejection to create an opportunity.

God has put so much in you that if you aren’t willing to identify it, you will forfeit the process and miss the blessing. Had it not been for the constant rejections of my past when trying to secure a job, I would not have been able to write my first book in 2016. Now I have written three books, created an online course for aspiring authors, built Authentic Worth, and conducting events and workshops.

Even when the support isn’t there, which usually happens at the beginning stages, you will realise gradually that through the amount of time and effort put into working on your craft, someone will help you with the journey, as long as you don’t give up! Remember this, because there are people who are inspired by you, without realising it! Don’t give up!
