He took my mess and gave it PURPOSE!

Mess 1

What current mess are you in that you feel God cannot deliver you from? Remember that your MESS is actually a MESSAGE to so many people out there. We all have a story; we all have a voice, and we must take the opportunity to inform others so that they too can receive their breakthrough. Sometimes, when I look back over my life and I think about all the pain I’ve caused my Father including those around me, it makes me wonder how God could love a woman like me. I really do not understand His love but I came to realise that man’s love is based on conditions, but God’s love is UNCONDITIONAL! Yes, man will look on the outside, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7)

No matter what you are going through, God has got you. It is hard to understand now because there are so many walls of guilt, distraction, and fear, but you must understand that rising above these struggles will give your life PURPOSE. You are not any less than your neighbour. We are all equal in the eyes of God, after all, He shows no favoritism (Romans 2:11). Our mess should be a magnet that automatically draws us to the Father when we have done wrong. Our habits today is to usually go to the phone, or call your best friend, or consult our partners. But when was the last time you went to the Throne? The secret place of the Most High? The private position where we surrender everything and withhold nothing? Or does this only happen when we are attacked?

It is very easy to praise God when everything is going the way we want it to be, but how about when you’ve lost your job, or your best friend is bitter towards you, or you have a dysfunctional family, are you still able to stand strong and endure the pain? If you are the woman who can stand strong during trials, you have a unique purpose and the world needs to hear it. There are so many of us today that are still feeling guilty! Even for people who have passed away, or those who are in another country. Yes, the person has hurt you, but why still hold on to the past and keep developing negative thoughts about it? On the other hand, you feel so terrible hurting your loved one, maybe you cheated, but why should you allow the guilt to eat up your Spirit? Ask yourself if that is healthy, and see the result.

Some have committed suicide due to the pressure of the world and low self-esteem. They do not feel worthy or loved enough so they decided to evacuate the journey of life. Yes, one can say why do people do that, but do these people have a relationship with Father? Better off, do people see Christ in you where they can be comforted and set free? It seriously is not enough to wear a Cross on your neck. One must be the true Child of the Most High through building strong relationships and helping a weak sister in the Faith. This is not the time to be pointing fingers or blaming people for their faults. I am sure if you look back over your life, you will see the mistakes made and want to make changes to it. Even if it may take a strong conviction such as looking back on your own life to stop judging people, then I believe it is definitely worth it.

We are living in a society today where relationships are based on competition, performance and gifts, not realising that building intimacy, transparency, and selflessness are key traits in any partnership. Sometimes, it takes a humble mind to say “Hey friend, I just want to say that I am really sorry for the way I treated you last week, I hope you can forgive me”. If we all had this humble character, wonder what the world would be like! Friendship should not be based on what one has done for the other, but should be based on LOVE because this is the First and GREATEST commandment. We ought to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Surely if you can love yourself, you can also love others; at the same time, when we make mistakes, we too can forgive those around us that makes mistakes. We are nowhere near perfect, but His love is what sets us free and gives us purpose!

All the things that have been holding you bound will be your greatest testimony! It will not just set you free, but set those around you free! You will see that your mess serves a high purpose and should not be hidden because of guilt or shame. God takes our guilt and shame to set others free. Your mess is not meant for you alone.

Remember that God is turning your mess into a message, you are not alone at all. Never assume that you can never be forgiven because that is not true. It says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My Name, shall humble themselves and Pray, and seek my Face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, forgive their sin and HEAL their land”. This text is so rich yet straightforward. The key words here are “humble”, “pray”, “forgive”, and “heal”. When combined:

  1. HUMBLE – is accepting your fault and being sincere about what happened without trying to cover it up
  2. PRAY – is being able to communicate with the Father and ask for His Grace and Mercy despite the obstacles
  3. FORGIVE – is not holding a grudge on people who have offended you but being able to see them the way God does
  4. HEAL – is asking the Father to soothe any anger in your heart, allowing Him to minister to your Spirit so that the heavy burden can be lifted off

The lyrics of a song I really like goes like this:

The person that composed this song can relate to the times where he or she must have committed so many faults and thought that Gods Grace and Mercy was over, not knowing that God was cleaning the person from the inside out. There is nothing that can stop God’s love for you. If you think what you have done is so bad that you cannot be free, I guarantee that you are looking at your life with your natural eyes. Look to the Father, and see how His love will melt all your pain away. It will turn your story around for your good. His love is what enables you to keep going in life, so why stop? You have a PURPOSE TO FULFIL!

Beauty in Every Season

Truly, there is beauty in all seasons of our lives. In health, in death, in sickness, in pain, in joy, in gladness; the list can go on. God has taught me that real beauty is stemmed from pressure, tension, and sometimes a fidgety spirit. It is in these cases, that we see God’s Hand at work in action! Why is it easy for us to rejoice when our plans work according to our time-frame but become frustrated when God does not meet our needs on time?

We are all in different seasons and we must remember to embrace them. If you are in a season of joy, be prepared for some attacks. Wow, sounds harsh, right? There will be some good times and bad times. We won’t always live each day having the greatest time of our lives. There will be tasks for us to fulfil, assignments to be met, but the Promise the Father has given to us is that HE will be with us and will never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). This is a rich promise that one must hold on to when the Faith is shaky.

Our Faith is always being tested in so many ways. It is being tested in ways that we won’t always understand. I remember God giving me the vision to write a book in January 2014. Half way, I stopped because of the frustration in securing a decent job. Although I was working at the time, I was not finding any satisfaction and decided to do things my own way. No matter what I did, it just did not seem to work and could not understand why God was putting me on hold for so long. Then I realised that GOD DOES NOT BLESS MESS. I paused and reflected on that statement and it changed my perception.

Our nature is ‘give me, give me, so, we fail to see the beauty in our seasons where we don’t get what we desire. We assume that because of our faults and flaws, we don’t feel worthy enough to receive what He has for us. That was me a while back. I was the woman who used to limit myself to how much God could bless me (to some extent, maybe I limited God?). In other words, I would see my blessings as ‘sufficient’ and force myself to be content with what I have, after all, I didn’t get a job when I wanted it to come. So whatever I had at that season, was more than enough for me…

The Father reminded me that what I owned, was only a starter. He is in the prepping stage of organising my main course! But because my emotions had so much control over my mind, it was blocking my view to see God’s promises for me. I always knew that God was around, but I really had to think deep as to why He didn’t grant me my hearts’ desires at the time I was so in need of it. God reminded me that He does not need anything I don’t have or own to bless me. All I have is already in me, and today, I can confidently stand and agree on that.

Despite the years of crying and stressing over my life, God gave me the strength to continue my project of my book: “It’s Time to Heal”. The way the Father works will not always be the way in which you visioned it to be. Some would say by a certain age, they want project A to be fulfilled, or to buy a house, or to set up a business. But sometimes, God will slow you down and remind you that nothing is possible without Him being first (Matthew 6:33). When you take matters into your own hands, you make the season you are in unclear, meaning that you view your situation as hopeless, one that has no direction or authentic meaning. My sister, your life is clear, you just need to stop seeing it from a natural perspective and start seeing it from Gods perspective.

Your natural perspective is allowing your emotions to get the best of you. Do you know the Power you have in controlling the way you feel? (Be transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND – ROMANS 12:2). I nearly would have missed my opportunity to become an Author, had I not controlled myself in my brokenness. Being broken is a good thing ladies. Yes, to man, you will look weak, people will laugh at you, people will talk about you, but because GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET, they won’t stop talking about you! Are you ready to handle the chatter? You have to be strong, confident, BOLD and intentional about your success!

Some see success as having a 9.00am to 5.00pm job Monday to Friday, but God knew I was way more worth that! After the struggle of consistently going back and forth, I came to realise that He had a bigger and BETTER PLAN FOR MY LIFE! And today, I am here to say, that it is only by the Grace of God that I have come this far. My life has been such a bumpy and rocky journey that not a lot of people will understand because some see the outward appearance, but God sees my heart. He allowed me to lie down in green pastures; He led me beside the still waters and restored my soul. (Psalm 23:2-3). Sometimes, it is not enough to handle everything in your own strength, you must learn how to surrender it all to Him so that He will lead you out safely.

This message is meant to lift your spirit up and remind you that no matter what you may be facing today, you are in a beautiful season. In my season of silence, God was teaching me about the Healing Process. He reminded me that it is okay to cry, but only for a while, to not ponder on why things did not happen my way. As previously stated, He then gave me the vision to write a book in January 2014. And today, I am humbled to say that He has allowed me to finish it. (Philippians 1:6).

It’s Time to Heal is targeted at the young woman who secretly has enough of life and the constant battle of feeling insecure in herself; she is intentional about breaking out from her secret struggles, but still seeks to compare herself with others. Yes, she desires to be healed, but her past is battling with her future. She knows what it is like to feel left out and often ends up hidden in the corner broken. No one knows the real agony she faces, so she puts it on with a smile and a few laughs. But little did she know that something is missing: HEALING. This book is a guide that reminds her of the Father’s love and His promise in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give YOU a future and a hope”. She will be uplifted knowing that her future is bright and that healing is available when she makes the choice.

Remember that healing is not just in the form of having good health, it could be pride that is killing your soul; it could be self-criticism (being too hard on yourself); it could be your attitude that is making you bitter and resentful; you could also be struggling with forgiveness. Either way, this book is a tool that will remind you that your personal pain serves a high purpose, and that though you may be going through your own struggle, you will never be alone. I wrote this book from a broken place, and I have understood the importance of being transparent, real and honest, because you gain respect, but not just man’s respect, but GOD’S FAVOR!

For that reason, I will be having a Book Launch on Saturday 23rd July 2016. More information is on the link below and you can sign up for free at:

Remember, it is okay to be broken. No one in this world should ever expect you to be perfect. You will never be perfect in man’s eyes, but ALWAYS IN GOD’S EYES. People won’t always like you, but that is okay 🙂

If you really want to be healed from your pain, you must be intentional about it, but please, remember that your season is not punishing you for what you did in the past, or what you could not achieve. Your season is birthing something spectacular that you never thought of. Your season is beautiful, so do not look down on yourself. We all have broken pieces, we all have scars, we all have a past, but guess what, we don’t live in them!

I hope to see you at my book launch, and if you know anyone that will greatly benefit from this event, kindly refer them to the link above where they can sign up. I will be selling and signing the books at the launch 🙂

For those who may not be able to make the launch, you can go on Amazon.co.uk and purchase it from there. The link is:

May this book touch, heal, and bless you, and may it remind you that your healing has come, but how much do you want it? Remember your season is beautiful, don’t ever doubt that!

Your Heart & Spirit

Out of the heart, the mouth speaks. “You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked?) For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart, the mouth speaks. The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things”. (Matthew 12:34-35).

What is your heart telling you today? Is your heart working alongside your Spirit or your flesh? How do you deal with a heart that is heavy? Do you know how precious your heart is to the Father? Whenever you are hurt by someone, and you feel the need to take revenge upon yourself, do you know how much pain you are putting yourself in? God does not want any of us to take matters into our own hands. When we are hurt, which usually happens regularly, it is an opportunity to consult and seek the Father rather than being your own solver. I was talking to a friend recently and saying that ‘failure is not denial’. So many of us put so much emphasis on our failures than we do our successes.

The more you speak defeat over your circumstances, it will start becoming bigger and you won’t have enough strength to handle it. Your words are seeds. I cannot emphasise on this enough. Once something is stated or said from your heart, it becomes an action and in turn a habit. Do not be surprised at the outcome you get because what you have said has given birth to it. In other words, you are allowing the way you feel to control you. This can’t always work out that way because your Flesh and Spirit are already in a war. The Spirit is always willing to support, care, nourish and develop us, but the Flesh always wants to manipulate, control, take over, and be its own boss.

When all is done, you will come to a point where you just surrender it all; you realise that maybe you’ve bitten more than you can chew and you are finding it hard to pick up the pieces. Yes, it does happen, but it does not mean you should stay in that position. Your heart is meant to be healthy at all times. Your heart is meant to be fed at all times. What are you feeding your heart with today? Gossip? Drama? False perceptions of people? Doubt? Fear? Self-Pity? Low Self-Esteem? God cannot work when all these obstacles are blocking Him. Instead, He wants us to lay it all down at His feet, but why is it so hard? Maybe it is because we are trying to be our own solver. We can’t expect a new blessing if we are following the same routine.

Have you ever said something and thought, Where did that come from? The truth is it came from down inside you somewhere. You had to think it at some time, or it wouldn’t have come out. This relates to your heart. Everything you say comes from within. No-one pushes or forces you to say something that is beyond your character. When you are angry with someone, and you tell a friend about the situation, whether the friend encourages or discourages you to stay away from the person, you have EVERY RIGHT to discern whether the person’s motives are genuine. If you continue allowing people to control your thoughts and actions, you won’t be able to make decisions of your own because you feel inclined to always listen to people other than your own voice.

Your heart and spirit

Proverbs 23:7 says that “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”. Anything you see yourself as is who people will view you as. If you see yourself as a failure, others will also see you as a failure, but when you learn to see yourself as successful, others too will see you as successful. And guess what? If others don’t see you as successful but you do, what is your concern about the opinions of man? Remember, OPINIONS ARE NOT FACTS, NEITHER ARE THEY TRUTH! What is in our hearts ultimately come out of our mouths. We can find out the true condition of our hearts by listening to ourselves. If you do not like how you talk to yourself, ask God to help you think as He thinks. You must endeavour each day to speak good things from a pure heart.

Your heart and spirit are working together for your good. A good heart will attract a good spirit, and having a healthy heart produce a strong and intimate relationship with the Father because remember that the Father is a Spirit and He cannot dwell when there is too much drama. Your heart can either cause you tension or peace; you decide, but do not allow your circumstances to change your heart. Learn to appreciate every dark season in your life knowing that it will pass. Nothing you are facing right now will last forever. There will be a time where you will cry no more, worry no more, stress no more. But since we are in the world, we will encounter troubles, trials, tribulations, but do not let any of these things waver your FAITH! Always have Faith in ALL SITUATIONS” Whether it seems so bad that no-one can understand you, guess what, GOD UNDERSTANDS BECAUSE HE KNEW YOU EVEN BEFORE YOU WERE IN YOUR MOTHERS WOMB (Jeremiah 1:5).

One thing I have come to realise in my beautiful season is that when I am down, I LOVE encouraging other people around me, as it takes my mind off myself and allows God to heal my pain, whilst I heal someone else’s pain. Being a helping hand to someone contributes to a happy heart rather than being coiled up in a circle and throwing yourself a pity party. It really is not worth it! You have got so much to give when you offer a hand to someone else. In my previous blog posts, you will see that I mention quite often how I cannot relate to people who haven’t gone through anything. When I confide in people who are going through what I am facing, it opens my spirit for healing and restoration. I am reminded that I am not alone and that God is using people to comfort me in my time of need.

You cannot do everything by yourself. It takes a confident heart AND spirit to say “I really need your help”. As Christians, this is our role to play. We are not here to criticise, judge or treat people unfairly, but we are meant to use our pain as a healing tool to serve and deliver others out of bondage. Your pain should not be kept within you, it will literally eat you up from within. Your heart will begin to turn sour towards others as you have not given yourself the permission to be free. Please, do not misunderstand me, it is not everything you tell a person, but the trouble that is really making you itch, those are the conversations you should be having with a trusted friend, confidant or sister. I would really dislike going through a circle of trauma where I end up being more hurt than I initially was, and this has happened to me quite a couple of times. Even at times when I tell people about my concerns, it just felt so heavy that I ended up asking myself why did I say anything? At that time, I expected my friend to understand me, but all I heard was “It’s going to be alright”. But sometimes if I am honest with you ladies, you will need to hear more than that…

I know people may never understand you, and for this reason, I encourage you to have a PERSONAL, strong, intimate, tight, and stable relationship with the Lord Jesus. Being real with Him allows your heart and spirit to be aligned to His Word and Will. When you lay everything at His feet, He promises that all other things shall be added onto you. So, do not worry about what you have lost, believe that you will gain double! Just let Him in your heart. Do not block him out, no matter the length of pain you encounter. Do not come to a point where you think you don’t need the Father, because, I promise, you’ll end up finding Him again. So save yourself the drama, the stress, and agony and seek Him. (Matthew 6:33).

Your heart and spirit need nourishing. How do you do that? By studying and meditating the Word of God. When everything seems blurry, just pick up your Bible, and take your time to study. Do not just skim read of skip a few pages, because you may miss a Word that was meant to initiate your breakthrough. Give your heart and spirit the tender loving care it needs. The same way you exercise for your body to look and feel fit is the SAME way your heart and spirit also needs to be fit. Remember that what you say to yourself is what you are going to become. Do not be surprised at the outcome if you have invested negativity to your seed. Your seed must be nourished, fed and kept healthy in order to produce a wonderful result.
