Your life isn’t a mistake. God created you to have a prosperous destiny. “Before God formed you in the belly, He knew you” (Jeremiah 1:5). Some of us get stuck in several areas where we do not know or understand why we are in our situated predicaments. Some may be in their current jobs with no promotion, others may have received their blessings without struggle, but what I am here to inform you about is that your destiny is just too important for you to miss regardless of where you are. Whether you are struggling with keeping it all together, trying to stitch the pieces so they do not break or fall out, you are secured in the Lord Jesus.
You may think that where you are right now is where you are going to be forever, but my sister that is not so. Without the test, there will be no testimony. Without struggle, there will be no triumph. As I previously stated in some of my blog posts, I find it very difficult to confide in those who haven’t struggled to obtain anything in life. When I go through my own personal problems, I find it easier to communicate with someone who is in a similar situation, because they relate to my pain. My sisters in Christ, your pain serves a purpose!!! Your destiny is kin to your pain so the things that are driving you insane is what is going to push you into the next level of your destiny.
It won’t always be easy, and it will be uncomfortable (Please read ‘Uncomfortable Environments’ on my blog post). You may have to lose some friends and gain new friends to find yourself. There are some people in your life that you love so dearly, but you know genuinely in your heart that they are not for you. It will only take the strength of God to cut them off. I found it hard to cut a friend off in my years of study. I loved her like a sister, but because of the number of people who got involved in our friendship, it made things worse. I honestly did not think our friendship had come to an end, but God said “It is time”. I may not know what you are going through, but what I can assure you is that your destiny is going to be greater than your pain. There are some people in your life right now that stress you out and give you a hard time to enjoy your life, but you have to love them when they come, and love them when they go. You cannot allow people to control your happiness anymore.
One thing I learnt when losing my friend was that is can be dangerous to love so much that you become so attached to them, whereby you cannot do anything by yourself. I struggled with this a lot in my teenage years where I couldn’t do anything by myself, and always felt the need to bring a friend with me. As I matured, I realised that life is you and the world. It will not always surround itself with people who love you. Sometimes you have to walk this journey alone, and it will include the destiny God has for you also. At times, you will notice people being funny, but that is just a sign that their time in your life is up. So there is no need trying to fix the situation. Whatever will be will be. When Jesus carried His cross, where were His disciples? There will be times that tasks will have to be met on your own. It is like an exam. You may have friends that work together, but on the day of the exam, it is just you writing that paper. When you can grasp that concept, you are more likely to be at peace, however it does NOT exempt the fact that God’s presence is not with you. God will ALWAYS be with you in your time of separation.
God knows everything that is happening in your life right now. God has given each of us a destiny – something to do in this life, something only YOU CAN DO. God has already wired you with certain ambitions, goals and desires. Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago”. Before you were born, God gave you a unique mixture of spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personalities, and experiences. There’s no one like you in the entire universe because, in part, there’s no one with your unique mix of talents. Therefore, it is why your destiny is so unique, so you do not need to have sleepless nights worrying about what tomorrow will bring because everybody is at a different stage. Learn to love the stage you’re in because it is just temporary. If life on earth is temporary, what makes you think that your problems are permanent?!
Your destiny has your name on it, not your mother’s, not your father’s and certainly not your friends. Even our parents may not always understand where we are going in life, but what helps me to know is that at the right time, God will reveal to our parents and guardians who we truly are and where we are going. Your destiny is coming with tribulations; however they won’t last, for if you saw the size of the blessing coming, you would understand the magnitude of the battle you are fighting. Sometimes you are going to have to fight to reach your destiny. When Jesus said “‘It Is FINISHED”, He knew that His purpose was fulfilled. A lot of people may not have understood what He meant by saying that. Even the chief priests and critics came to a realization and knew that this truly was the Son of God. For if they have known before hand, they would not have crucified Him. Sometimes, people will tend to judge you PREMATURELY, until they realise you are not who they said you were!
HARDSHIPS OFTEN PREPARE ORDINARY PEOPLE FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY DESTINY!
On the other side of destiny, if we are not careful with the gifts that God has given us, we are more likely to go astray. Why do I say that? Because Social Media is having such a heavy impact on our generation today. The music we listen to, the way celebrities dress and how we desire to imitate them, the pressure to get all your plans met by a specific age; all these things can be detrimental to the soul. I know the intensity of looking good on the outside is having a mental shake up for some of us. We don’t feel beautiful until we buy the best make-up or dress a certain way. It is a sad thing when people define you by what you wear, but God already knows your name. Isn’t that more important? Instead of allowing the pressures of people and the world to define you, speak to God about your purpose and ask Him for full focus, because the world will live in is surely a distraction! Real focus is key when walking into your destiny.
Some of you may have the talent to encourage and motive others. That is a very unique gift that not a lot of people have. I can confidently say that this is my gift, and it is already leading me into my destiny. For others, it is helping women overcome sexual abuse from men. We all have a gift which coincides with our destiny, but the way in which our gifts is to be birthed is by submitting them to Christ first. You cannot be successful on your own, no matter how hard you try. I am a strong believer of teamwork. Without teamwork, all plans will fail. There are some people in your life right now who are pushing you into your destiny, you may never know. I have three solid spirit-filled sisters right now who I never thought I would encounter this year. They have all challenged me in unique ways to be better and do better. When God brings people like this your way, thank Him because I tell you they do not come easily.
DON’T DOWNGRADE YOUR DREAM TO MATCH YOUR REALITY; UPGRADE YOUR FAITH TO MATCH YOUR DESTINY!
Every day is an opportunity to work closer to your destiny. It’s about being more like God and less like the world. The world cannot offer us anything; we can try partying our sorrows away, drinking our sorrows away, smoking our sorrows away, but it just won’t solve a thing! There will always be problems after problems, so we really must endeavour to seek God for what He wants us to do for His Kingdom. Ladies, I really want to see you grow in the Lord, and to know your God-given purpose. Life is not building your own empire expecting people to follow you. We are all a team and we must work hand in hand to fulfill each other’s destiny paths. Your path may not be the same as my path, but I am fully assured that when we have the right motive to see people do well, we too will succeed in every area of our lives.
Finally, don’t allow society or people to define who you are and what you should be doing. Where you are right now is where your meant to be, so don’t question it. Wake up every morning knowing that God is working something special in your life. God is not okay with you fulfilling half of your destiny. He’s not okay with you fulfilling a part of it. God is going to make sure you complete what He put you here to do. No day should be the same for you but should challenge you to come out of your comfort zone and walk towards your destiny because YOU ARE IMPORTANT! I love you all!
