The Baggage of Sin

There are five types of sin baggage’s:

– The Baggage of Sin

– The State of Sin

– SINS (All types of Sin)

– Penalty of Sin

– Practice of Sin (Past Sins)

Sin produces GUILT!

Living with guilt will cause you to have mood swings

The enemy brings stuff into your life to make you feel guilty

When you are guilty, it blocks your connection with God

The Baggage of Pride

Trying to hide your pride will not get you anywhere…if you have pride, bag it and BIN IT!

Pride will make you a critic of other people because it is easier to talk about other people’s guilt which therefore makes you ‘self righteous(!)’

God despises a PROUD LOOK!

Pride is the hardest thing to preach about in church

People will always claim that they are not proud

It is very hard to council people who have a proud look as they tend to blame others for what they do

Pride is a KILLER!

Pride can make you not give in to your problems

Your image is everything (so they say)(!)

Spending money that you do not have just to look good(!)

Cannot open your mouth to say you are sorry…

Cannot resolve conflict

Keep changing the subject

Instead of apologising, you will start doing nice things for people because pride stops you from apologising

You are too proud to repent

Could have, should have, would have…

Trying to make your dreams come true

The bag of dreams does not get heavy when your young, but when you are old!

The bag of dreams can make you bitter, envious and jealous

Your still trying to run, but you are carrying all your other bags of ‘dreams’

You go on a date with somebody you ‘claim’ to like, but it is actually an interview too see how much ‘stuff’ they can carry for you

You are sick and tired of the person you married because you picture your ‘mind-set’ for your spouse to be what YOU wanted them to be…you wanted them to carry your burdens, whereas your spouse has his/her own burdens!!

Confront me with my guilt!

Do you know my Sins? Can you still love me the same?

Amongst church people, it happens and it makes it worse!

Have to act as if you do not have any bags, but if you knew their issues (I am so fine, Praise the Lord, I am blessed)…*so they say*

Everybody wants something from you

Everyone brings their problems to you

Here comes one problem after the other!

Everyone wants you to fix, straighten up or be there for them

Do you want to know how I feel??? Stressed//Burdened//Feel like giving up//Tired of understanding you!

Do you know how it feels to be TIRED?!?!

Trying to encourage other people, but you have so much baggage yourself

It would be nice to find somebody and just tell them that your weak! Someone that could just understand you…

It would be nice if I did not have so much stuff on me

I got my mess, and your mess put together

I come to church and it is a burden (waking up in the morning, getting dressed, do not feel like coming etc)

Had to drive to church (had to stop to get some petrol, had to find a parking space)

Trying to sit in service when you realise you are sitting next to the ‘wrong person’

People are jealous of the way you look but yet they do not know what you are going through behind closed doors (“You picked the wrong Sunday to flip out on me!”)

Scripture: Matthew 11 v 28-30 “(28) Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls (29) Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble, lowly in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls (30) For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good- not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne”.

People want you to put all their stress on your head

Just accept the fact that you need help, you have issues, you really need the Lord more than ever

I am not worthy but I shall praise you Lord! When you continue to praise Him, all your baggage’s will fall off!

Loose me and LET ME GO!!

I will bless the Lord at all times…His praise shall continually be in my mouth!

I left a lot of stuff behind me to get where I am now

Leave your bags on the altar!!

Secretly sick and tired

Lord I cannot carry another thing

You almost quit, and almost fainted

Why walk with the shadow when you can walk with the man?

Ladies, decide what you want to do with your baggage(s)- Sins, Guilt, Pride, Dreams, Responsibilities…surrender them all to God! God is the MAN! He cares for you! 1 Peter 5 v 7!

PS: These are just a few tips that we as ladies go through, whether we want to believe it or not…at times you tend to be near your tipping point, but I just want to say that YOUR BREAKTHROUGH IS AROUND THE CORNER!!

Be Consistent in Prayer!

Hey ladies, how are we all doing today? I just thought I would share this brief message that has been on my mind for a while. Satan is a manipulator! He is a destroyer! One thing that I love about God is that He always teaches me to study the Word! I urge you ALL to study the Word as much as you can!!! The Word is the WEAPON you have against the enemy!! Satan is using SO MANY STRATEGIES to get us Children of God and trying to destroy us by making us suffering depression, anxiety, stress, jealously, envy, hatred, bitterness! This is NOT from God at all! God has a plan for each and every one of you, but YOU need to take responsibility and PRAY FOR YOURSELF!

You cannot always expect people to pray for you; yes it is nice at times, but most times, God only wants to hear YOUR VOICE! I hope I am speaking to somebody today?! Please let prayer be CONSISTENT IN YOUR LIFE! Do not let God rest until He answers all your prayers!! Remember that God wants you to be specific in your prayer life, so anything you desire to see happen in 2014, proclaim it and declare it over your life!! Do not boast and be proud, but let your success speak for itself!

When something is trying to discourage you, just say NO! Look into the mirror and shake yourself up!!!!! When jealously is hitting in, look into the mirror and SHAKE IT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

Reference to being consistent in prayer is in Luke 18 (the whole chapter) in regards to the Parable of the Widow!

Remember ladies, do NOT get tired of asking your Father who is in Heaven for things. God’s desire for us is to have everlasting life, and remember whatever you do, make sure you do it to please God for His Glory!

God bless! x

Nothing in Life is Worth Fighting For!

Nothing in life is worth fighting for! Your best clothes is someone else’s rag. Your account balance is someone else’s church offering. Your girlfriend/boyfriend or fiance is someone else’s ex. Every single prostitute you see in a hotel or on the street at night was at some point in time a virgin. So what is the squabble all about?

Life is too small to feel big or better than anybody! “WE ARE ALL NAKED TO DEATH”; says Steve Jobs.

Nothing can save us from it. I hate to see people who brag about wealth, beauty, intelligence, level of education, fame and material possessions. There is nothing you have achieved in life that no-one else has never achieved! There is only one thing that IS worth bragging about which is “LIFE IN GOD ALMIGHTY!”. So be good to your fellow man and always MAKE FRIENDS!

Always remember that the people you trample upon on your way up the ladder will be the same people you will pass on your way down, so cause no problem for others because if you do, they will become your very problem one day.

Finally, even banana stems will one day become dried leaves. Please do not be selfish, pass on to friends as we are all in one way or the other guilty!

If one day you feel like crying, call me. I do not promise to make you laugh, but I can cry with you…

If one day you want to run away, do not be afraid to call me. I promise to be there running beside you…

But if one day you call me and there is no answer, come to me, perhaps I need you…

One day, one of us will not be here and it will be too late to say I CARE…Tears may flow but I will be long gone!

Just a brief reminder: Pride goes before a fool! Tomorrow is not promised! Cherish those you love, but overall, LOVE GOD!

Word of Wisdom

Hey ladies I hope you are all having a blessed Sunday so far? This is just going to be a brief message. I was at church today, and one of the Elders at the church was prophesying. And whilst he was doing that, he said something so vital that got me thinking a lot. He said that God always commits 100% to us; how about you? Have you committed 50%, 20% or even 10%? When he said that, it touched my Spirit deep down! My Spirit felt thirsty, and I had to cry deep down inside of me to ask God to help me get back up again and re-assess my thinking! The Hands, Feet and Side that was pierced shows the AMOUNT of LOVE Jesus has for us, even up till now, and forevermore! Let us be more sensitive to His presence.

Isaiah 55 v 8-11 “(8) For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord, (9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts, (10) For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, (11) So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, without producing any effect, but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”.

Feed your Spirit!

You are weak because you are not eating enough. You are constantly under attack because you do not have any more strength to fight back. You are living on 0% battery. Nothing left in you. What am I talking about ? Am I going crazy? No I’m not. You Are A SPIRIT living in a body, but because you are so ‘fleshly minded’ you forget that man shall not live by bread alone. So since you are a Spirit that means when your body dies, you will continue living forever! Just as your flesh gets hungry and you feed it Pizza and McDonalds, so does your Spirit get hungry. But because you are so fleshly minded, you feed the flesh and starve the Spirit.

Now what is the food of the Spirit? It is the beautiful Word of God. What is the Word of God? It is found in your BIBLE! The Word of God is the Bread of Life. So you must eat up to strengthen your Spirit man so you have all that it will take to make it in this Christian Journey. Have you had your three meals today, or are you running off of that Scripture you read last month?

Scripture 1: 1 Corinthians 13 v 4-8: “(4) Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily (5) It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it (it pays no attention to a suffered wrong) (6) It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail (7) Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything without weakening (8) Love never fails, never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to and end. As for prophecy, the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose, it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away, it will lose its value and be superseded by truth.”

Friendship is an easy case of love

You will not be well off with any friends

What is ‘self-love?’ – Self love (the desire to participate fully, oneself, in the basic aspects of human flourishing) requires that one go beyond self-love (self-interest, self-preference, the imperfect rationality of egoism).

We need to be careful with the phrase “I love myself most”

Scripture 2: Matthew 22 v 35-39: “(35) And one of their number, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him, (36) Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law? (37) And He replied to him, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (38) This is the great, most important principal, and first commandment (39) And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Love God with emotions, feelings and care

Scripture 3: Matthew 15 v 7-9: “(7) You pretenders (hypocrites)! Admirably and truly did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said (8) These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me (9) Uselessly do they worship Me, for they teach as doctrines the commands of men.”

Feelings must belong to God

We do not love ourselves when we ‘pretend’ to love God

Love rejoices with the Truth

Rejoicing comes with a feeling

We are lost without Jesus Christ

Christ firs loved us!

“Money is not the natural reward of love; that is why we call a man mercenary if he marries a woman for the sake of her money. But marriage is the proper reward of a real lover, and he is not a mercenary for desiring it. A general who fights well in order to get a peerage is mercenary; a general who fights for victory is not, victory being the proper reward of battle as marriage is the proper reward of love. The proper rewards are not simply tacked on to the activity for which they are given, but are the activity itself in consummation”.

Prayer is a beautiful thing

God transforms our hearts

Scripture 4: John 7 v 37-39: “(37): Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! (38) He who believes in Me, who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow continuously springs and rivers of living water (39) But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed, trusted, had faith in Him were afterward to receive. For the Holy Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor)”.

We must obey!

Find out what God has promised you, then put your Faith in Him concerning it

Do not be satisfied with the little pleasures of sin

We love ourselves BEST when we love God MOST!

Loose Her|| Rise Above All Struggles (01/02/14)

Good afternoon ladies! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday so far? So as you may know, I went to a conference yesterday night called Bright Senerity and I can honestly say I was blessed by everything they spoke about. The praise and worship were fab! Gods presence was really in the atmosphere! I decided that for those who could not attend the conference, I will write some notes regarding what had happened yesterday. Please feel free to share with others 🙂

Theme: Rise Above All Struggles!

1) Scripture one: Job 17 v 7-9: “(7) My eye has grown dim because of grief, and all my members are wasted away like a shadow (8) Upright men shall be astonished and appalled at this, and the innocent shall stir himself up against the godless and polluted (9) Yet shall the righteous, those upright and in right standing with God hold to their ways, and he who has clean hands shall grow stronger and stronger”.

2) What is Hope? – Hope is believing in the promises of God. Lets use a tree for example; once the tree comes in contact with water, there will be a change! So in other words, the tree expects someone to water it in order to grow. That is the hope that we also must have in God!

3) Our dependency is ONLY in Christ!

4) Scripture two: John 10 v 10: “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows”

5) When hope is missing, you do not have peace. Therefore it will lead to a confused person!

6) Nobody will choose to be depressed!!

7) The devil wants nothing from you but your hope!

8) The devil has NO POWER!!!

9) The devil wants you to stay down. Once you step out, he will not be able to stop you!

10) The devil thrives SO MUCH to get you

11) The devil wants nothing more than your hope

12) Scripture three: 1 Peter 5 v 10: “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all Grace, who imparts all blessing and favour, who has called you to His own eternal Glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen and settle you”

13) Cry about the situation, but JUST for a moment!!

14) Jesus is the one carrying ALL our burdens

15) It is not worth going over your pain and heartache if it is only going to cause to to lose hope

16) Do not let your situation last for a moment, as it can affect your decisions and mind-set!

17) Move on to the NEXT CHAPTER!! Life shall go on ladies!

18) Our Hope is in Christ JESUS!

19) God will never impose Himself on you!!

20) God wants to work with you, in order for you to RISE ABOVE ALL STRUGGLES!

21) It is good to get people to pray for you, HOWEVER, you also need to pray for YOURSELF!

22) Make a decision to get up and PARTNER WITH GOD!

23) God wants us to have an ‘experience’ with Him

24) HOW DO I ARISE??? – Well, I am not the bearer of bad news but; LIFE IS A WARFARE! SO GET UP AND BE RESPONSIBLE!

25) STOP HAVING A ‘PITY-PARTY’ just to seek/get attention! Your situation could not be worse that someone sitting next you you!

26) We know the right thing to do, but the enemy is making us blind to it!

27) Nobody will fight your own destiny! YOU MUST DO IT YOURSELF!

28) Stop throwing up excuses! Be responsible!

29) You need to move on! Seriously! God has a wonderful future for you if you just KEEP IT MOVING!

30) Scripture four: 1 Corinthians 13 v 11: “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a MAN, I am DONE with childish ways and have put them ASIDE!” (Think and ponder upon this scripture please!)

31) We have Salvation in Christ Jesus!

32) It is time to get SERIOUS about God!

33) Scripture five: 1 Corinthians 16 v 9: ” Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the very sentence of death, but that was to keep us from trusting and depending on ourselves instead of on God who raises the dead”

34) God wants you to do amazing things through Him!

35) Scripture six: 2 Corinthians 10 v 4: “For the weapons of our warfare are not physical weapons of flesh and blood, but they are Mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds!” (This is indeed POWERFUL!)

36) You are truly fighting the fight of your own LIVES!

37) There is nobody that is WORTH putting the excuse on, because they did not do what you were called to do

38) Scripture seven: John 5 v 1-18* (This scripture refers to the man at the pool for 38 good years!)

39) People who know the right thing to do, yet they do not do it is a MANIPULATIVE SPIRIT! (Be aware of these people please ladies! Do NOT fall into having a manipulative spirit; it is DANGEROUS!)

40) Thank God always for His consistent Mercy and Grace!

41) There has to be a DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR UNBELIEVING FRIENDS! For example, we have Christ, and they do not! You should be the one encouraging and giving them a helping hand! If they are depressed, and you too are depressed, what kind of Christian lifestyle are you living for??

42) HOW DO I ARISE? I am glad you asked! Lol! – Scripture eight: Isaiah 43 v 18: “Do NOT earnestly remember the former things; neither consider the things of old.” So to cut it short, do not dwell on the past, for I am doing a new thing!

43) Scripture nine: Hebrews 12 v 1-2: ” (1) Therefore then since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, who have borne testimony to the Truth, let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us (2) Looking away from all that will distract, to Jesus, who is the Leader and Source of our Faith, giving the first incentive for our belief and is also its Finisher, bringing it to maturity and perfection. He, for the joy of obtaining the prize, that was set before Him, endured the CROSS, despising and IGNORING THE SHAME, and is NOW seated at the right hand of the throne of God!” Therefore set aside every hindrance that is weighing you down!

44) How can you run a race with so much baggage? (Not possible)

45) Set the feelings aside…DO NOT ENTERTAIN THEM!

46) It is the ‘effect’ on what memories of your past sins that is important and critical, so that you do not fall into the trap of self-condemnation

47) Do not give up, regardless of what you are going through

49) Learning how to forget your past, is to embrace your FUTURE! Therefore embrace Gods promises for you!

50) My future is the word of God!

51) Scripture ten: John 10 v 35: “So men are called gods, by the Law, men to whom God’s message came, and the Scripture CANNOT be set aside or cancelled or broken or annulled.” In other words, the promises of God cannot be broken!

52) You have to work with God in order to FORGET about the past

53) Scripture eleven: Proverbs 23 v 18: “For surely there is a latter end (a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off!” In other words, the expectation you have from God shall not be cut off! From being a sad person, YOU WILL BECOME JOYFUL!

54) The expectations are always in your face, so take every opportunity that comes your way!

55) Eyes have not seen, and ears have NOT HEARD!!!

57) Embrace the Promises of God!

58) Do not settle for less! This should be YOUR OWN PERSONAL STANDARD!

59) Continually hope AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!!! (The woman with the issue of blood kept on hoping, and she received her healing!)

61) Scripture twelve: Matthew 9 v 20-22: “(20) And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment (21) For she kept saying to herself, If I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health, (22) Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage daughter! Your Faith has made you well! And at once the woman was restored to Health.

62) No matter how painful a situation is, use the woman with the issue of bloods example as your personal TESTIMONY!

64) Gods promises are yea and AMEN!!

65) If there is no hope, you are FINISHED!

66) Hope is what triggers the rope at the end in order to reach it!

67) Be around MINDFUL PEOPLE!

68) Scripture thirteen: Psalms 126 v 1: “When the Lord brought back the captives who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream; it seemed so unreal”

69) Scripture fourteen: Ephesians 6 v 13: “Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day of danger, and having done all the crises demands, to stand FIRMLY IN YOUR PLACE!!!

71) God sees your Heart!!

72) Testimonies will pour!!

73) Let Gods Word be your benchmark!

74) Go to the Word and meditate on it DAY AND NIGHT!

75) Let Gods Word be what you live on

76) Do not mix your explanation with Gods Word

77) Scripture fifteen: Habakkuk 2 v 3: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end fulfillment; it will not deceive or disappoint! Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day!”

78) Scripture sixteen: Hebrews 4 v 2: “For indeed we have had the glad tidings, Gospel of God, proclaimed to us just as truly as they, the Isrealites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with Faith (with the leaning of the entire personality on God, is absolute trust and confidence in His Power, Wisdom and Goodness), by those who heard it, neither were they united in Faith with the ones (Joshua and Caleb) who heard and believed!”

79) Scripture seventeen: Isaiah 43 v 2: “When you pass through the waters, I WILL be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you”

82) I am flame-proof!

83) I am fire-resistant!

84) Take Gods word and work it in your life

85) Scripture eighteen: Romans 8 v 28: “We are assured and know that God, being a partner in their labor, all things work together and are fitting into a plan for good to and for those who LOVE GOD, and are called according to His design and Purpose” (It does not matter what you have been through, for as long as you love God, He makes all things work together for your good!

86) Do not allow any MISTAKES to determine your destiny!

87) Keep loving God, and He will take you to your destiny!

88) The condition is your LOVE FOR GOD!

89)  Do not analyse your life in a negative way!

90) Scripture nineteen: 1 Corinthians 1 v 27: “God selected, deliberately chose what in the world is FOOLISH to put the wise to shame, and what the word calls weak to put the STRONG to shame!

Be blessed ladies! ❤
